Colds and Quotes
"I hope you will end up in Tartarus." Devdan muttered to no one but his illness as he glared down at the mucus- covered tissue. The demigod tossed it into the nearly- filled trash can by his bed.
He found it incredibly ironic that he, a veteran of the Second Olympian- Titan War, was bedridden by the common cold. If he was going to be confined, Devdan always imagined it be by a serious injury or a life- threatening condition. Yet, it was a cold. Really? Yeah, he was grateful it wasn't anything worse. But seriously though, a cold?
How did this happen? Devdan had no idea. It was nearly impossible for it to occur when it did, especially since he was the son of Asclepius; all children of the medical deity had stronger immune systems than other mortals.
Yet, here he was. Among his sweaty sheets, pillows, and mattress, the offspring of the minor immortal was feeling very crappy. His body ached, his throat was sore, and he was freezing even when he supposedly had a fever.
The teenager shivered. He then wrapped the covers around his physique before continuing to seethe about his pathetic situation.
It was just him in the cabin; his siblings doing whatever they were doing around Camp Half-blood. Sure, one of them would come in now and then to see if he was fine. But other than that, he was completely alone. Devdan wished he could join them. Or just get out. Anything would do. Whatever it might be, the adolescent was sure it would be better than sitting here and doing nothing.
He wanted so bad to have some real use of his day instead of wasting it in bed. It was what George Clooney said: "Lost time is never found again."
Or was it John Lennon?
Robert Williams?
Maybe it was that weird, creepy, red monster thing with the pet goldfish on Sesame Street.
Was there really a point in trying to remember?
Devdan sighed.
It was suffering being an ailing demigod.
A/N: Dude, wait until we get to the quests. Then you'll really see.
