Chapter 1: New thoughts

Beck was leaning against the locker next to his girlfriends, as she looked through her own complaining about something Tori had did.

"Can you believe that little...rrgh! She just had to wear that same dang outfit the same day I did, for tryouts!"Jade yelled as she found her book

"Who does she think she is?!" Jade asked no one in particular as she slammed her locker door.

"Really. This is what she rants about all the time. Tori did this, and Tori did that. I am so tempted to tell her just to worry about herself, but decided that I didn't want an angry Jade on my tail for the rest of the day." Beck thought to himself then replied.

"I don't know...uh...Tori?" Beck replied

"That was a rhetorical question stupid!" Jade growled and grabbed Becks hand.

"Yay me. I get to spend another wonderful day with my ammmaaazzinng "girlfriend". Again."Beck thought sarcastically to himself

As Beck and Jade made their way into their first period class, which they happen to share with all their friends, Beck noticed a chair open next to Tori.

"I wonder if Jade would mind if I sat somewhere else today. I mean most of the teachers here say change is good, so maybe taking that seat would be okay." Beck thought. Not so sure at first, but convinced himself.

As Beck released his hold on Jade's hand and sat down next to Tori, both girls looked at him with shock. Jade's look a little meaner.

"Okay, this is um awkward...well I already sat down. I can't just get up. I'll look stupid."Beck reasurred himself

"Um Beck why are you not sitting next to Jade?" Tori asked softly

"Wow. Even her voice is pretty...wait did I just think that!" Beck wondered

"Oh um because. Change." Beck answered cooly

"Change? What does that have to do with you not sitting next to your girlfriend?' Tori asked confused

"YA BECK! WHAT DOES THAT HAVE TO DO WITH ME!" Jade yelled at her boyfriend

Beck looked away from Tori to see Jade standing not three feet away with her hands on her hips.

"Um well you see Jade. Um, one of my teachers said to try to change something up instead of doing the usual today. That change is good." Beck answered immediately

"Oh? And what teacher was that?" Jade asked tauntingly

"You know what. I can't remember...So many teachers all packed into six hours? Confusing if you ask me." Beck lied

"Whatever." Jade dismissed and walked back to her own seat.

Beck turned back to Tori who was now smiling at him.

"I think that's cool Beck. To bad you can't remember the teacher." Tori spoke to him

Beck gulped. He knew he was acting way out of character. But he couldn't help it. He hand these knew; strange feelings for Tori, and his blooming thought about how mean Jade is, all jumbled up in his head. And to make matters worse. He had to lie. To Tori. It felt off. He didn't like it.

"Oh,ya. To bad."Beck agreed and turned to face the front of the classroom."Too bad I can't tell you really why I sat here."
