Long and pointless, o well.
They fell.
He couldn't fathom how it had come to this, they were at the top of their game, it had been almost effortless to drive the rain nin back, to push their defense lines
almost an unheard of two miles back. The feat is what confirmed their status, what gave them the name, neo-sannin, that three leaf nin were able to drive a full
three hundred enemy nin back, inflicting devastating losses on them while suffering none themselves.
And now, he was witnessing his two best friends slip away,
slip away because he had not been strong enough to protect himself, to know that it had been a trap, and to warn them of the danger. It had been simple enough,
scout out the surrounding area and determine the number of enemy nin, if any, that were there. He had not expected there to be an ambush set up specifically for
him, nor that he was to be bait for them to use and kill later on.
Their plan had worked brilliantly, to his dismay; after tying him like a sacrificial offering and placing their traps accordingly, it was a simple matter of waiting for the
leaf to hear of the capture and investigate. A simple matter of discreetly revealing the location of their hideout and their "intentions" with him. And they had come
for him, like he knew they would, using the new jutsu they recently created, a type of combination transformation jutsu that swirled chakra around the body,
shaping itself into the figure of a massive dragon. He had joked with them, calling their creation the yin yang of Konoha, for Sasuke always appeared as a jet black
dragon with white spikes down his spine with white eyes, and Sakura would appear as a pure white dragon with black eyes and
black spikes. He thought it fit them, in both appearance and character. So different, but complete with the other.
They had swooped in on transparent wings and landed with a resounding thud, causing a shiver within the earth, roaring their rage at the injustice done to me,
attacking with a ferocity befitting their current appearance. The spikes struck then, bursting from the ground and gouging indiscrimately at every angle. A few struck
true, but they managed to dodge the brunt of it, a snap of the jaw had freed me, and I was too weak to protest, to warn them of the real danger, the starvation
and beatings taking a toll at last. Kakashi jumped down from his perch on Sasuke's back and leaped towards me, enacting a teleportation justu just as my
teammates launched themselves into the air.
The true attack began. Dozens of weapons, fireballs, lightning strikes, and sword winds crashed themselves into my friends, shredding their skin and causing absolute agony.
And they fell, speeding towards the unforgiving ground, wholly unable to stop their unconscious descent, as I watched, helpless and horrified, knowing I was the
cause of their pain and sure deaths.
They fell, and I fell, to the ground, hands touching bare earth, summoning with the last of my chakra.
They fell and Gamabunta caught them, and lowered them to the ground.
