I... don't even know where this came from. Trying to get a grasp on Fi without actually playing the game. Would you be so kind as to tell me if she's in character, and if not, why? RPing while not playing the game and only watching cutscenes is tough.

Disclaimer: I do not own anything but the words typed here.

Fi was logical, that much was obvious, but she was also immensely curious.

She came into this world knowing that everything was data, and that her duty was to recollect all data she encountered on her journey with her young master.

But she herself didn't comprehend what she recorded.

So that's where her questioning begins.

Sometimes she'd catch a glint of something in his expression while he cleaned the mighty blade; his eyebrows slanting, the corners of his lips turning downwards. As if it was too much work to defy gravity, despite her not sensing any change in the planet's gravitational force.

Perhaps he was tired. Tiredness was logical. Anyone would be tired after a long, hard day of work.

Sometimes she thought that his eyes looked much older than his face, that his expression was befitting of weary old man who's outlived all he loves and knows too much for his own good.

There was no logical explanation for this. As far as her knowledge went, Master didn't have any physical ailments.

'This ailment is from within. It is called loneliness, and it matures the heart to the point of spoiling.'

But Master Link's heart wasn't spoiled. She knew this much as soon as she heard the organ racing at the sight of Her Grace. Something spoiled is something that has become unfit for eating; or in this case, using.

His heart worked just fine.

'Joy.' 'Grief.' 'Loneliness.'

All were words she didn't comprehend.

All were words she didn't think she'd ever need to comprehend.

Soon enough she found herself becoming entranced by her Master's expressions, cataloguing them in blank boxes inside her spacious mental hard-drive. What word fit this one? What word fit the other?

Why did her master appear to be so discouraged when Her Grace's messenger chastised him? If her words were true, and there was a 97% chance of the girl getting kidnapped had she not intervened.

She was right.

He was late.

Sometimes she found herself questioning the spirit of man. After all, Her Grace had gone through the trouble of selecting one with the correct type. What was the correct type? Perhaps it should be pure, noble, and most of all, brave; to face the hardships that would block their path? All she knew could not be compared to what she saw though.

What was a soul?

What purpose did it serve?

(Was it bad that she couldn't feel one inside of her?) That's where souls reside, correct?
