Dear Reader,
You've heard of the vocaloids, right? The singers? Kacho, our master, allows some of them live in a house that she has created for us. Miku Hatsune, Rin Kagamine, Len Kagamine, Luka Megurine, Kaito, and Meiko. My brother, best friend, and I are moving in today. We're about to meet the others.
My name is Rina Banmene. I have a twin brother named Lent Banmene and my best friend is Mikuta Shinne. What? No, I am not Rin in a new outfit. I can see how you mistook me for her. Don't worry about it, everyone does. We look so similar. Lent and Mikuta have the same response all the time too. Maybe I should tell you a little bit more about us three Vocaloids.
We are appends to the vocaloids. We were created as different versions of those vocaloids. Kacho explained us and then asked what we wanted our names to be. I chose Rina, adding the 'a' for 'append' to 'Rin'. Lent has 't' for 'tsukeru', the Japanese word for 'append', added to 'Len' and Mikuta has both the 't' and 'a' added on to 'Miku'. We have always been mistaken for Rin, Len, and Miku. Our voices are credited to them. I don't like it, so I've gone to Lent and Mikuta with a plan.
Miku, Rin, and Len have had their time. They kept the spotlight to themselves and gave no thought to the fact that they were using other people's voices as their own. We have followed the expectations of Homen, our creator and former master. Kacho is giving us a new deal. Sing more songs and you can be your own vocaloids. We even got cute new outfits out of the deal.
