Never To Be

Authors Note: hey peeps! This is mi first fan fic so try not 2 be too harsh!!! I won't get hurt if there are no reviews, because it will probably stink anyway. It will be tokka, so u taang fans go away!!! I'm gonna try to go for a longing and friendship kinda vibe.

Disclaimer: I don't own Avatar: The Last Airbender.

He could get lost in those beautiful pale-green eyes for eternity. That long silky hair that shimmered in the moonlight, and sparkled in the sun. Oh, how he longed to run his fingers through it. He needed to feel those small but powerful arms holding him, her body close against his, in a tight embrace.

He knew it could never be. She had never liked him, though he had secretly been in love with her almost since he met her. She laughed at him, made fun of him, and criticized him all the time, yet his attraction to her continued to grow every day.

And why? Oh spirits he had no idea away. He had for the longest time a feeling that pained him so much he hated it, but at the same time he ached without it. A feeling he wished would go away, but wished would never go away at the same time. Was it love? He denied it at first, but soon grew to accept the fact that it was. After all, the thing he had with Yue had only been an infatuation, and what he had with Suki had died along with her.

Toph. Toph was his best friend, his lifeline. His everything. His love. Katara described Toph as the most terrifying, offensive, obnoxious, infuriating person she had ever met. When asked, Aang just scratched his head, stammered a bit, and hopped onto his air scooter and got the heck outa there.

He, on the other hand, described Toph as the most beautiful girl he had seen, inside and out. Her features were like a porcelain doll, her perfect eyes a color that could neither be described, nor matched by anything in the universe. Her skin was the most beautiful shade of pale he had ever laid eyes on. Her hair was a gleaming black glossy silk that he couldn't take his eyes off of. But that wasn't even the half of it. Sokka loved her even more for what was on the inside. He loved her sarcastic and arrogant attitude. He loved her devious smile, and her devious laugh. He saw through her tough exterior. He saw her satisfied, happy smile and heard her joyous laugh when no one else did.

He knew her. He knew her beauty. But she didn't know him. She would never know how he felt. He could never tell her. He would not risk their friendship over his stupid feelings. After all, he would like to be more than friends, but he loved being her best friend.

Ok this was totally not what I was expecting to write. This could probably count as a drabble, a sucky one at that. As I look back on it, I realize there is not plot and it is disorganized and just plain bad! Oh well, I'm not going to rewrite it cuz its 1:30 a.m. Hope the next fan fic is better!!!!!!
