Charlie Brown lay awake in bed again; but this time, it was because he got kissed by a certain bespectacled girl during the day. "Am I really lying awake, worried about tomorrow, or is it because I like Marcie?" he asked himself before believing that he was just having insomnia again. Soon his hazelnut eyes closed all the way, as he fell into slumber land.
Across the street, a seven-year-old bespectacled girl was reading a book in bed, still thinking about how bad of a day Charlie had and how she helped turn his frown upside-down. Even though it was 8 at night, the little girl wasn't ready for bed; instead, she lay down and looked up at the ceiling, pondering if Charlie Brown was dreaming of her. Eventually, she nodded off as well, clinging onto the book she was reading.
"Stars shining bright above you
Night breezes seem to whisper 'I love you'
Birds singing in the kite-eating tree

The next day, Charlie Brown and Marcie met up at the brick wall, both kids looking a little sleepy; but still remembering their dreams of each other.
"There's something I want to tell you." The two kids exclaimed in unison.
"You first, Charles." "Ladies first." "Oh no, I insist." "How about we say it at the same time?" "Okay!"

"I dreamt of you last night!" Charlie and Marcie explained in unison, laughing at what the other said.
