Written for the prompt : The Avengers, Any, Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic. Also the fill had to be five sentences long (no more, no less). Contains a movie spoiler for one scene.
Loki can't help but sneer as these mere humans kneel before him. They are nothing. Their ignorance is amusing as he wields just a fraction of his power before them. He sees their faces awed by his 'magic'. It is nothing, barely complex enough to even be considered technological wizardry. Yet here on Earth, they are awed by it, by him as the man behind the power they see.
That they do understand : the power, the majesty, the right to rule them and have them kneel before him. He will barely have to strain himself to subjugate the whole species, a whole world. It is his for the taking.
He smirks as one old man dares to stand in defiance of his might. It will be amusing to teach them all a lesson, no strain, not even the work of minutes.
