AHEM! Clears throat

This is a one shot. It came to me as I was thinking about a sad book I was reading and a person dies in there that was loved. Suddenly the word "Lost" came into my mind and I walked to the computer, opened Word and typed. It was about Link, lost in the woods, deep in thoughts.

But as I got farther, I changed the title and "plot". VERY SHORT but I hope you don't mind…

AND NOW I PRESENT TO YOU…Whispers of the Heart

Please review!

Whispers of the Heart

I shivered ever so painfully. I realized it, then and there.

There was no turning back. There was no running. I couldn't change my mind again.

The faded edges of my past returned to me.

My life changed dramatically that day. So much happiness and emotion.

But things changed. Horrible things happened and life was corrupted. I couldn't feel the fear of my heart that painful day.

I was on four legs. I was running like the wind. I was not what I thought I once was…Then my two legs returned. It happened again and again and it was a part of me that I had no choice in choosing.

I love this earth and love life so much. It doesn't sound like me at all when I think about things like this.

I love this place so much I could die under his sword for it. But will things ever return for better?

Will I be able to be mortal without four legs or fur? Will I be able to see the shining sky again and ride without any ending or any place to go? Will I be ever be able to live things again as they once were?

Will I ever be ale to see…her…again? I could go in and never come back. That would hurt her so much. But the clouds seemed to second that thought.

Will I be able to enjoy the world without evil?

A sparkling blue figure faded in next to my side.

She put her hand on my shoulder.

"Link…are you ready?"

The eddies of dust kicked up a notch, as if to stir to her words.

My pain dug deeper. What if I didn't come back alive?

Sacrifice.

My courage scattered for a moment and then returned as if it had no where else to go.

She waited for my answer. My eyes trailed up the stairs, around the dusty sky where the sun was no longer visible.

I closed my eyes and drew my sword.

"Ready," I answered.

Then, I climbed the steps, each one looking bigger and bigger each time.

I knew then and there I was no longer just me.

I was me with a destiny.

Walking onto the rough carpet, I heard something.

Maybe it was something I imagined. But it made me smile.

In the distance, somewhere, the faint sound of a horse shoe grass wisped through the air.

Hint I wonder….

UPDATE: Sorry for Spacing...It won't space like I want it too for some reason...
