Salvation's Sacrifice
I spent some time alone today
My mind overwhelmed and blue
I thought of what I had done wrong
By trying to enable you
I've let you slide, but not this time
Things are only getting worse
I fear if I can't save you,
I'll find your casket in a hearse
By allowing you to hurt yourself
I'm also hurting me
I'm giving in to every whim
To protect your sanity
I know that if I leave you
You'll live life in despair
If I can't enable you
Then no one else will care
But I will sacrifice everything
To be there when you cry
And when your time is finally up
I'll be there by your side
