Mituna looked over at Latula as they were both finishing their breakfast. He looked into her eyes for a while and tilted his head.
"Tuna, you okay?" Latula asked in a low, calm voice as she stood up and walked over to Mituna and helped him stand up.
Mituna nodded and leaned close to her with big eyes and a small smile. Latula looked surprised by this. She stared down at him as Mituna got inches away from her lips. Latula was blushing faintly now, wondering what's gotten into him.
"Latula, you're very pretty," Mituna smiled. He then leaned closer, the warmth of Latula's body and his mixing together. "I wish you understood how I feel, Tula."
"M-Mituna?..." Latula blushed.
Mituna put his hands on Latula's shoulders and pushed her gently to the wall and pressed his lips against hers. They both blushed. Latula's eyes were growing wider in shock and fluster.
Latula couldn't move. She was frozen there as Mituna held her against the wall. He began to slip his tongue into Latula's mouth. He blushed brightly as his eyes were closed underneath his helmet.
Where did he learn all of this?! Latula thought to herself, staring at him with a more calm expression, almost liking the feel of what was happening. It was a kiss. A warm, loving kiss that they've never shared up until now.
Mituna pulled away from Latula and smiled at her before trotting off like a little kid. "Bye, Latula! I'll see ya later!" Mituna pranced into the other room, leaving Latula in shock and confusion against the wall still.
Latula sighed and began to clean up the plates that Mituna and her were using. She washed the dishes, did some work around the house they were in, and walked down the hallway to find Mituna in the living room on his skateboard.
"Latula! Look!" Mituna said with joy as he raced around the room on his skateboard.
Latula smiled at his playfulness. "Hey, Mituna? What was that before?"
"Huh?" Mituna stopped skating and hopped off his skateboard, looking over at her.
"The kiss…" Latula said. She could still feel her cheeks warmth from before and the pressure on her lips as if he was lightly kissing her still.
"Oh! That! Well, I was told by Cronus that it's what people in love do! Oh. And Dave. Dave told me too!"
"Oh," Latula said nervously. "Well, those two are very passionate…Especially Dave."
"They sure are!" Mituna smiled. "And I wanted to be the same! You know, showing who I love and don't love."
"Well, who do you love?"
Mituna stopped and looked around and then back at Latula as if he was thinking. "Only you."
Latula's face went red. "Well, I haven't been completely honest with you...but I love you too," she smiled.
"You do?" Mituna walked over to her and looked up at her with a smile on his face.
Latula nodded to him and bent down to his height. "How about we go skating outside for-" Latula didn't get to finish her sentence before Mituna knocked her off her feet and onto her back. He leaned close and kissed her a bit more rough than before. Latula was surprised and very shocked.
Mituna pulled away and licked his lips from the strawberry flavor of Latula's lips. "I don't want to skate right now. I want to be with you. Right here."
Latula blushed and didn't get a chance to answer before he pressed his lips against hers again and slithered his tongue into her mouth. Latula blushed and finally felt comfortable enough to close her eyes. Mituna smiled through the kiss and put his hand to Latula's head, patting her head. They weren't just Matesprits, they were in love in human ways as well.
