Erza's Kiss
Jellal's P.O.V:
"I thought I was never going to see you again..."
Was... Erza crying? For me? The embarrassment of falling on top of her went to the back of my mind. I couldn't believe that she'd cry over me... all I'd ever given her was pain and suffering. And yet... she was crying for me. Erza reached up and cupped the sides of my face in her hands. She looked so... timid... with her scarlet hair in her eyes oppose to the determined look normally on her face. She was just... so beautiful to me...
I found one of my hands cupping the side of her face, wiping away her tears and pulling her up. With her hands still holding me, she began to pull me down. Was it really happening? Was the girl I'd fallen in love with all those years ago back? And were we really about to kiss?!
Her uneasy breath made my heart race as her lips neared mine. Erza was nervous... and I found it adorable. Then I realized I, myself, was breathing unsteadily and I realized just how nervous I was. After all, I was about to kiss the Titonia Erza!
Kiss her...
As the Sun went down, we tilted our heads and finally met in the middle. Her soft lips slid in sync with mine and her arms wrapped themselves around my neck. I put my hands on the sides of her waist and pulled her closer. In the process of the whole thing, she'd sat up as I stood on my knees over her. Finally being able to kiss her... it was a dream come true. A dream I never thought I'd be able to live out...
My hands slid higher up on her back as we steadily pulled away. The thing was... I didn't want to pull away. I wanted to stay like that... forever. But, Erza walked the path of light while I had been consumed by the shadows long ago. I couldn't... I couldn't fall in love with her again! She'd be happier without me...
Erza began pulling me in for another heavenly kiss and I cupped her face again. Then I put my hands on her shoulders and pushed her away. I looked away but I still saw the confused expression on her face and the hurt look in her eyes. Knowing Erza, she wouldn't accept my reasons for not being together so I had to come up with something fast! What was the one thing that always got a girl disinterested in a guy?
"I have a fiancée..."
Idiot! Why would I say something so stupid?! She'd see through my lie in a moment... love really does make you do idiotic things. Erza became flustered for a moment before calming herself. I saw that knowing look in her eyes as she smiled at me.
"Do you love her?" she asked.
I looked down and clenched my fist in the sand. I sighed as I nodded. Erza's smile grew and she looked up at me.
"Then live... for her,"
I'd definitely live... but for you, Erza Scarlet!
Hiro Mashima is just being mean now, keeping Jerza apart despite EVERYTHING! Come on, Hiro! Get 'em to officially kiss already!
