Challenge: Angels vs. Demons

Chick Fight

It's the Roaring 20s, and even though Prohibition is the law of the land, the Man of Letters still manages to have a very good bottle of Scotch. He pours himself a glass, and then offers one to the creature across the table from him. The creature declines. The man start to speak, but before he can begin the interview, a very attractive young woman waltzes into what is supposed to be a top secret warehouse.

The woman knocks the creature down and almost across the room. "Stay down," she hisses. "You're not my intended victim." The woman then stalks the Man of Letters, gripping him by the throat and slamming him into the wall. "Where is your secret lair?" She asks with a purr in her voice.

The woman's eyes go black as the man stares her down, clearly not giving in to her demand. "You're a demon, aren't you?" he asks. He's surprisingly calm, considering he's never seen one before.

The demon is not amused. She squeezes the man's throat tighter and repeats her question. Before he can squeak out any kind of reply, the lights flicker and every bulb in the places blows out. The warehouse would be plunged into total darkness were it not for the light of the full moon streaming through the dirty windows.

"Abbadon, you will release the human…NOW!" A very commanding female voice is heard from the center of the room.

Abbadon drops the man onto the floor in a heap and turns towards the intruder. "Anna. Long time, no see." She looks the angel up and down. "You know, you should be helping me. Or at least thanking me. These Men of Letters have enough knowledge and magic to wipe out demons and angels alike."

Anna sneers at her foe. "We have no interest in the Men of Letters. They won't do anything to hurt us. And why should we care if they destroy demons?" Anna moves quickly, before Abbadon knows what hit her, Anna has her by the throat, mimicking the way the demon was holding the human before. She uses her grace to try to smite the demon, and although it is glowing throughout the demon's human meat suit, she does not budge to leave it.

Abbadon laughs. It's clear she is in a great deal of pain from the angel's attempt to smite her, and yet, she laughs. "I'm a Knight of Hell, you can't smite me."

"Perhaps not," Anna agrees, slamming Abbadon into the wall. "But I can cause you pain…And I can drag you to Heaven and hand you over to Michael and Raphael." Anna's voice is thick with the seriousness of her threat.

Abbadon manages to wrench her neck free of Anna's hold long enough to look up towards the ceiling and smoke out of her meat suit. She wasn't sure if Arch Angels like Michael and Raphael could kill her, but she wasn't going to wait around to find out. She'd be back for the Men of Letters eventually.

Anna drops the human onto the floor, inspecting her for damage due to being possessed. Determining that the human is still, in fact, alive, Anna heals her. She disappears quickly before any one regains consciousness and starts asking questions.
