The Olympic Wolf

He runs

Trying to escape the fate

That the cruel world

Has thrown him

The voices in his head

Plead to him

"Come back, Jacob"

But he is gone

Long, long gone

He face in his mind

Pushes him farther

Running from the pain

She's caused him

As he reaches the Canadian border

The Olympic Wolf stops

And thinks

She needs him

Even if it's not the same

Sigh,

He heads for home
