Prologue
I was lying in bed thinking about how horrible it will be to go back to school. I mean come on really two more days til I have to suffer though long class with idiot teachers, but also all the drama that comes with being friends with queen-bee. Don't get me wrong Lydia is great and all but try standing next to her when her and Jackson are sucking each others faces off. It's disgusting just thinking about how sickly cute they are together.
Whenever I bring it up to Lydia she just snaps and says that I'm jealous that I'm to much of a loser to get a boyfriend. And well maybe I am jealous, she had a point with the whole to big of loser thing. I don't act that way to everybody it's really only Lydia and every other Lydia wannabe at our school. The only good thing about going back was seeing my real best friends Scott and Stiles. Oh my are the great, Stiles is the funniest person I know and well Scott, Scott just has the cutest puppy dog eyes I have ever seen.
When I was thinking about Scott and Stiles I started thinking about something that always made my heartbreak. My mom. Mom loved Scott and Stiles, she always said to 'ever let those two slip away' then when I asked why she told me ' they are the only real thing you'll have left in your life when I'm gone. Little did I know that would be sooner then I thought. I didn't know she was sick let alone dying, so when one day when I got home from school and went into her room to see, I was to young to know it was last time I was going to see herd to shake her and yell 'MOMMY, MOMMY WAKE UP' but she wouldn't wake and I asked my dad why he just said, ' mommy is gone sweetheart and she's never coming back.
After thinking about that I decided I needed to clear my head, so I went outside to the backyard. I went in to the woods and just started to walk, I didn't really know where I was going but that was ok because at least my head was clear. Thinking I was alone I kept going deeper in the woods until I heard a twig snap,I turned around to if anyone was there. With a sudden spout of courage I decide what I was going to do.
"Hello, is anyone there? I know you're there so just come out." I yelled, and to my surprise the person who I ausmed was following can out. He was not at all what I was expecting. Tall, dark, and handsome would probably be used to describe, but I prefer that term 'bad boy'.
"So, umm, what are you doing out here here." I asked Mr. No name.
"I could ask you the same thing." Asked Mr. I-Still-Don't-Have-A-Name.
"Oh so you're one of those people huh?" He just rised an eyebrow at that so I decided to clearifiy. "You the the question dodgers, well to answer your question of to why I'm out here I need to clear my head."
" yeah well you should go back home it's not safe in these woods."
"Ok umm bye I'm,a go. Names Carrie-Carter by the way but most people just call me one or the other I prefer Carter Though.
"Derek."
"So, yeah, bye Derek." I told him as I started to walk back to the house. I couldn't help, but think there was something about him.
