DISCLAMER I do not own!
WARNINGS K
vereor nullus maleficus
If your body commits a sin, but you didn't commit the sin, whose sin is it?
-
The sky is blue today, but it isn't always this way. When you live the life of the average student, your days blend together and the important things are tests and the phone number of that cute girl who sits next to you in Chemistry.
(When you're the average student who's been possessed by a half-insane, centuries-old spirit, the important things are checking to make sure there's no unexplained appearances of little dolls and not waking up in prison.)
(Of course, he could always plead insanity. It would work.)
-
He can't help but breathe a sigh of relief when he finds his shoes right where he left them, mud-free.
-
And the kitchen knives are still all in place.
-
He doesn't consider telling his father. His father is very insensitive about things like this. It's probably due to the kind of job he has; he must run into this kind of thing all the time and prove it false. He never has approved of ghost stories.
His mother never believed in them either, he knew. She would nod her head placidly as he excitedly told her about haunted houses and about poltergeists and vengeful spirits coming out of TV sets.
He knows who he would tell, but she's not around anymore. So instead he brings flowers to her grave and speaks to the stone.
-
He prays for the souls of lost children.
-
He doubts it works. But he can always hope.
-
He has some vanity. It's just hidden under layers and layers of disdain and indifference.
(If he were to admit he's attractive, it means much more than just that.)
-
He wonders if he'll ever be able to live a normal life. (get married, have kids, white picket fence, the whole shebang.)
Chances are, though, he'll end up in some asylum or something.
It's kind of bitter, really.
-
Actually, it's kind of really bitter.
-
It's kind of frustrating when all of his friends look at him like he's going to snap and kill them all.
(Well, more like snap and send their souls to the shadow realm. There is a difference.)
-
(When he got the ring, it was like he found the missing part of himself he never knew he was missing. Like a soul mate, minus the love.)
-
(He always knew he was weak. He'd known that since Amane died. But hearing it from him, out loud- well, technically not out loud- in that cruel parody of his own voice, made it hurt just that much more.)
-
Lo, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
- Psalm 23:4
-
It was kind of hard not to fear the evil when it lives inside your own mind.

Okay, so. Having a really bad day. I just found out a friend of mine is dying. Her leukemia was cured, then came back, ans she's been in the hospital for over a month, and the doctors say there's not really anything else they can do.
Please review! The title is latin for 'fear no evil'. It doesn't releate to the fic much. I just liked it. (I tend to do things like that a lot.)
