*I don't own Jane and the Dragon or its characters

It's funny what inspires you isn't it? Sometimes simple gestures inspire great ideas, but in this case I was Inspired by chapter13 of "People Change, Dragons Don't" by Shay-na-na

If you haven't read her story, then what are you waiting for? Go on and read it because it is by far one of the most emotional of the fics I have read for this lovely fandom. She needs your support like the rest of us who still love this fandom, because without the love what do we have? We have unread feelings we call fanfics

Alright, enough rant, please enjoy

Landing gently at the mouth of Dragons cave, Jane felt puzzled. Sliding off Dragons back, she surveyed her surroundings but nothing seemed out of the ordinary or different. She up looked up at Dragon who looked amused. "What are you doing?" Laughed Dragon

"You said you wanted to show me your favorite place?"

Nuzzling her with his snout, he laughed "I have"

"But this is your cave"

"I know isn't it grand? No doubt you will ever see a finer one"

"I is wonderful Dragon except you have not told me the reason why it is your favorite"

"Do you want to know why it is my favorite place Jane?"

"Of course. Though my thoughts were that it was because it is the only place you fit"

"Oh, so close Jane. You almost had it"

"Well my lovable green newt, enlighten me"

"The reason why it is my favorite place is because its the place I met you"

Jane hated to admit it, but there were times when Dragon would say something so truthfully sentimental that she would feel the l the urge to cry. Though he never saw any actual tears, I can assure you that her heart heart wept secretly and in silence. "Dragon"

"What? Did I say something wrong?"

"No, not at all. But I thought you liked green pastures with many mooing cows?"

"Only if you are there with me"

Mounting Dragon, she cheered happily "Let's go my lovable green newt, I know a certain shepherd who would love to meet you"

Flying through the azure blue skies, Jane could not imagine a better place then when the two of them were together. It was those very intimate, taken for granted moments which Dragon appreciated. Though he loved a good mooing, or a few heads of lettuce, there was no happiness like the moments spent with Jane. "And do you want to know something else Jane?"

"What is it Dragon?"

He felt sentimental, but he was a Dragon after all. Dragons had a different way of feeling things and of the world around them so it was easy to forget simple things there were so natural or common. But Jane, though a short life, she was the most spectacular something he ever saw. Knowing that short lives needed constant reminders, since they supposedly had short minds, well at least compared to his, he confessed "My favorite place is wherever you are"

Kissing the top of his head, she said lovingly "That is so sweet"

"Let's go scare the moo makers"

"Alright, but there better be no cow tipping"

"When have I..."

"Dragon"

"Alright, fine I won't. But if they fall on their on it is beyond me"

"Hey Dragon"

"Yeah"

"About your favorite place, I feel the same way too"

No greater love was there then the love of a girl and her Dragon. It was the stuff ballads spoke of for centuries to come. Though I am sure you heard their magnificent, death defying tales, I'll remind you once more, there was no greater love then a love for a Dragon, though Dragon loved her a little bit more.
