"SLEEENNNNDYYYYYY~!" Jack called into the home. He let himself in, still keeping Jeff's arm hooked with his own.
Jeff looked about. He wasn't sure what to think of LJ...The monochromatic clown was pretty much just like a kid. He had a lot of energy, tons of candy hidden in his large pockets, and seemed to be quite the people-person...or...thing...or whatever he was. "Who's Slendy?" Jeff asked, letting himself be dragged along. It reminded him of when his older brother would lead him all around...
"Another friend," Jack explained. He beamed at Jeff. "Don't worry, though. He's not as interesting as you,"
Jeff blushed lightly at that. Jack had been giving him compliments since they met. And Jeff was more used to...blending in. The only times in his life people noticed him, he was addressed as either Lui's younger brother or as 'the scary thing' that loomed in the dark and killed people.
"LJ? Is that you? Slendy said you went out to look for..." A face came around the corner, it's smile fading as a look of shock overtook it. Jeff looked at the figure curiously. It was a small boy, dressed like Link except...there was blood coming from black holes where his eyes should be. It should have been gross, but Jeff ignored it. For some reason, the kid looked more frightened than threatening.
Jack-completely cluess to Ben's discomfort, dragged Jeff over. "Hey, Ben~! Where's Slendy?"
Ben darted back and forth, looking to the clown and then looking at the stranger, worry evident on his features. He back up a bit, not sure what to think. "U-uh...H-he..." Ben was unable to answer.
As though coming to his rescue, another figure came around the corner, this one dressed in a black hoodie and jeans, a dark blue mask covering his face and some black substance dripping out of the eye sockets. Jeff quirked a brow. Was eye-injury a theme around here or what? This figure also seemed confused, tensing as he saw Jeff. This one, however, moved to Jack. "LJ, who is this?" He asked, gesturing to Jeff.
LJ smiled. "This is Jeff," he answered simply. "He's a new friend,"
"He's...like us?" Ben asked weakly.
LJ nodded, turning to Jeff. "Jeff, this is Ben and Eyeless Jack. He goes by EJ or Jack. Mostly Jack,"
Jeff nodded, turning back to the two. "Hey. What's up?" When he didn't get an answer in response, Jeff frowned. Clearly they weren't used to small talk with strangers. "Um...I...like your outfit..." he attempted again, talking to Ben.
Ben blushed lightly and looked down, as though he had forgotten what'd been wearing. "Thank you.." he replied quietly.
Eyeless Jack-that is, Jack-looked Jeff up and down. "So...guessing that you wanna talk to Slendy about him staying here?" He asked LJ.
LJ nodded but Jeff looked to the clown in shock. "Stay? What-Stay here?"
"Of course!" LJ laughed. "You said you didn't have any place else you had to go,"
"I can't just stay here, LJ! That's messed up," Jeff frowned, trying to pull his arm out of LJ's grip for the first time since they met.
LJ still held onto Jeff tightly, giving the pale teen puppy eyes. "But...Jeff, you said-"
"LJ, this is someone's home. And you don't just walk into someone's home and say 'give me a place to stay'. It doesn't work like that," Jeff explained, hating that he made LJ feel bad. "I have a place I can stay. I just don't have to go back there right away,"
Ben and Jack looked to eachother in surprise. LJ had said this Jeff was like them...and with the smile-scar you'd think so, but...he seemed to soft. Maybe LJ had seen something that they didn't..
