Molly Prewett was walking to the Three Broomsticks, books in her arm, unusualy by herself. She had homework to do but decided she also wanted a butterbeer with her homework and felt it was a good idea to just go to the Three Broomsticks.
Molly opened the door to The Three Broomsticks, instantly inside the warm, smokey atmosphere. She decided to sit at a small round table with one chair in the back. She dropped her books and decided to order her butterbeer.
An hour later she had finished her potions essay, looked up the neccassary information for Divination, and the glass next to her which at one time contained warm butterbeer was now empty. The only class she had left was Muggle Studies which totally confused her. She had to write an essay about how muggles do household chores without the neccassary charms. She had zoned out in class and spent the time passing notes to her friend, Linda. She stared at the piece of parchment, tapping the end of her quill against her jaw. She sat like this for about eight minutes before deciding that she had no idea how to write this essay. Her eyes zoomed around the crowded pub, looking desperately for someone in her class. The only person she could find was an absolutely dreadful Slytherin girl named Stella. Then she saw him sitting in the other cornor in the back. He was tall and gangly, with fiery red hair and horn-rimmed glasses. She was pretty sure his name was Arthur. She straightened her hair in order to make a good impression and walked over.
She said, "Hi. I'm Molly. You're in my Muggle Studies class right?"
"Yeah, I'm pretty sure I am. Fascinating, aren't they muggles?"
"Um...yeah. Sure. Anyway I was curious if you could help me with my homework. I uhhh...had a headache that day and had trouble paying attention."
"Oh of course. Sit down here", he said as pulling a chair out for her. She sat down and sccoted her chair closer to the table.
Arthur said, "Well you see- it's quite simple actually. You know cleaning products like dust busters and brooms? Well instead of using a spell so they act themselves, they actually use their hands and dust, clean and more with their hands. So anything that you cast a spell on to do, they do with their hands."
"Ah. I think I get it. So instead off say- casting a spell so dishes wash themselves, they actually do it by hand?"
"Exactly!", said Arthur in excitement. Molly found this boy's fascination with Muggles a bit odd but was intriguied and wanted to keep talking. He seemed really nice in an odd way.
Hours passed and Molly was past done with her Muggle Studies essay. He and her were still talking. Turns out they got along on almost everything. Like how Gryffindor's Quidditch team is better than Slytherin's but Slytherin's is better than Ravenclaw's and Hufflepuff's, and that it is almost impossible to sit through History Of Magic class without falling asleep, or that there was something really odd about that second year student named Bellatrix who kept trying to hex everyone.
Arthur said, "Do you want to go to Honeydukes? They have new Fizzing Wizzbees, you know."
"That sounds lovely," replied Molly and the two gathered up their books and left The The Broomsticks.
So what do you think? It isn't my best but I thought it was cute.
