Note: I know some of you don't believe that there are guns in MLP but I do. So please, don't go telling me that their aren't any, because I can believe what I want, and you can believe what you want.

Chapter 1: Equestrian Military : Registration

Radiation, is a midnight colored mare with neon green hair, like RD. Her cutie mark is of a nuclear symbol that means she makes bombs. This rare pony was trotting around near a train station while her friends told her that she should not go . Where you ask? To the capital, Canterlot, to try out for the military.

"Come on Rad, zink about it. It is too dangerous!" A white unicorn said with her German accent. She had brown hair that was messy, and covered one of her golden eyes. She always wore goggles on her forehead, and a handkerchief around her neck. Her cutie mark was a treble clef with the staff going through it, and her name was Cantabile Clef.

"Clef! Do you really think I have a choice!?" Rad said turning around to look at Clef with her piercing emerald green eyes.

Clef was on the verge of tears, She knew what happened to soldiers because it had happened to her brother, Trouble Clef. He was in the war and had had to kill others. He couldn't stand the guilt, so he took his own life. "B-but Rad...Vat if..." She started, but stopped as Rad looked sadly down at her hooves.

"Listen Clef...I know you are thinking about him...and I will make sure… It won't end the same way," she said as she looked up and gave Clef what she hoped was a confident smile.

"When I come back, do you think you will have a new song?" Rad asked.

"Ja...Ja I vill." Clef says looking down as tears began to flow down her face in a river of sorrow.

"Glad to hear it. Don't worry I'll be back." She said as she trotted onto the train and showed the conductor her ticket.

[ 1 day later ]

Radiation hopped off of the train and her eyes lit up at the amazing view. Who knew the capital was so beautiful? It wasn't like anything she thought she was ever going to see.

She noticed the castle, where she was going to have to go to try out to join the fight.

She started to walk through the town toward the castle, as normal ponies looked at her as if she was strange. After all, it is not everyday that you see a pegasus with that type of cutie mark. Some people were afraid of her because they thought that she was actually Radioactive. Even so, she just smiled and continued on her journey to the castle. "Maybe this won't be such a bad thing - maybe this is my destiny," Rad thought to herself.

She approached the doors of the castle where the guards halted her. " I am here to sign up for the military," she said

They then asked her a few questions to make sure that she wasn't a threat to the princesses, decided she was safe and then let her go into the castle.

It was magnificent - the detail of the building was so beautiful. Then, she saw the sign- up roster for registration test's. She trotted up to it and was about to add her name when she heard a beautiful voice ask, "Are you signing up?"

She turned around and came face to face with the princess, Princess Celestia. Rad quickly bowed. "Y-your Majesty," She said stuttering slightly she has never been in the presence of royalty - it was unbelievable. "Yes, I am."

"It's alright, you may stand," the princess said as she walked up to the roster. "So many ponies sign their lives away to defend this country - I respect them. They go out there even though they know they may never come back. They are the reason that we live on today," she said, staring off into space.

"Your majesty... It isn't just the military, it is also you! Without your guidance, we would all be lost - It would be chaos," Rad said looking up at the ruler of Equestria.

"Yes, perhaps you are right. I wish you luck Radiation." She said as she turned around to leave.

"Y-you know my name?" Radiation said surprisedly.

"Of course, I know all the names off my subjects," Princess Celestia said with a smile. And with that, she turned around once more, and left.

"Wow", Rad thought to herself as she picked up the quill with her teeth, wrote her name onto the paper, nodded, and then left the castle feeling prepared for what was to come.
