Title: A Cold Day's Anime
Anime: Sonic X
It was a cold winter day. Everybody was curled up in their beds to stay warm, or watching movies under the covers on a couch in their living rooms. Outside, it was snowing. Young kids bundled up in their winter coats and waterproof boots were making snowmen and throwing snowballs, having an innocent, childish, war. On this particular day, two close friends were curled up together on a couch, sipping apple cider and talking.
"No, you do it." The blue hedgehog said.
"No, you! It's too cold to get up!" the yellow kitsune answered.
"I really wanna watch an anime right now. Get up and pop one in the DVR! It's only a few feet away."
"I want to, too, but you do it! We haven't even chosen what we want yet. Fighting anime, or harem? There's not much of a variety to choose from anime-wise."
"It's a good thing Cream's asleep or we'd have to watch Bottle Fairy. It's funny and all, but it isn't full of action like I want it to be!"
Sonic and tails were over at Cream's house babysitting her. Vanilla was out on a date with Vector, and Cream was asleep upstairs because it was too cold to want to get out of bed.
"Sometimes I wish I still had my werehog powers. I was able to make my arms stretch out far from me and grab things!" Sonic said.
"What if you broke the DVR, though?" Tails asked.
"Good point."
They were really surprised that the two rabbits had so much anime. They had romance anime, harem anime, yuri and yaoi anime (which they had no knowledge of what that was), fighting anime, Hentai anime, Ecchi anime, random anime…. The list went on and on. They had a whole bookcase full of anime. Vanilla wouldn't let her daughter watch certain animes due to the content of them, though. Cream would have to wait until she got older to watch such animes. Sonic and Tails could watch the inappropriate ones, though. Their only problem was that they couldn't get each other to get up and put one in to watch.
"I'm up for anything except romance." Tails said.
"Why?" Sonic asked. He looked at his friend, waiting for an answer. Tails didn't answer. He only looked away from the hero. "Something's wrong. Tell me."
"It's nothing."
"I'm here for you always, Tails. I won't tell anyone. Are you in love?"
"I was. It's painful to talk about. Fiona was my first love, and she dated you for a little while, paying me no attention. Then…. I fell for someone else. I miss her."
"Oh…." Sonic realized who Tails was talking about—Cosmo. To try and break the tension, Sonic said, "How 'bout some action anime, then? I'll even get up and get it."
The blonde smiled a little bit.
"Okay."
