Steve waled into his apartment and wasn't surprised to see Natasha sitting in the living room watching TV. She had been dropping in lately since they had grown closer.

"Hey, when I said we should hang out some time, I ment we should set up a time."

Natasha turned, saying,"What, you don't have a problem with it do you?"

Steve just laughed. He walked over and sat beside her on the couch. "Well, this isn't exactly what I meant, but I can deal with it. You're not the worst company ever."

Natasha smirked. "Was that a compliment? Wow, they must've done it way different in the 1940's."

Steve shot her a look. He didn't like it when she brought that up. He still had mixed feelings about his past.

"Look, Steve, I came here to talk about us." Steve was surprised at her sudden seriousness. "I've realized that we've grown a lot closer since the Winter Soldier got here, and I've never had a friend like you. Every time I'm around you I feel amazing, and I've never felt this way before."

Steve nodded,"Alright, I must admit you've been growing on me too. But whee is this going?"

Natasha's eyes adjusted to the floor before she began to speak. "Well, I just...I guess...I love you!"

Steve was shocked by her show of emotion, which wasn't like her. "Natasha, I really like you, but I don't know if I can say for sure that I love you. But I'm willing to try dating." Natasha smiled, then pressed her lips to Steve's, throwing her arms around him. She broke away, flipping to the window and jumped out of it. Steve didn't know what to think, and he couldn't make sense of it. He couldn't say he loved her, but he couldn't say he didn't like kissing her. He never thought that he'd have a problem that his powers couldn't solve, but theres a first time for everything, right?
