I don't own Naruto.
Sakura.
The red haired man stood before the grave.
Why'd you have to die?
He studied the inscription he already knew by heart, trying to tell himself that she was really gone forever.
"Haruno Sakura, Loyal Medic and Kunoichi. Killed in Battle with Uchiha Sasuke. Rest in Peace."
Why? He wondered. Why her?
Sakura stood in front of him, her eyes bright.
"Come on." She laughed. "We gotta get back to your village!" He nodded to her.
"Of course."
Her pink hair swung sassily around her head and her green eyes sparkled.
The memory faded. He shook his head.
The girl trapped against the tree, still smiling. Her eyes closed with out a fight. She looked so innocent and fragile.
He put a hand over his heart.
"I miss you." He said aloud, addressing his words at the grave at his feet.
The kuniochi jumped ahead of him as they raced through the trees. Her breathing was harsh and fast. The leapt into a clearing.
Sasuke stood in the center smirking.
"S-Sasuke." She breathed.
"Sakura." He laughed.
"Why?"
The man brushed a bit of his black hair from his face.
"Because I wanted to."
Rage twisted her pretty features.
"I'll kill you!" She screamed and raced at him. He laughed.
"Chidori." He murmured. His hand glowed.
Her blood fell red against the ground which sucked it up hungrily.
"S-Sa-su-ke." She managed. "Why?"
"Because you are weak." Her body fell the ground limply.
He shook himself. He didn't want to think about her death.
Why did you have to leave me?
A tear dropped from his eye.
Someday I'll see you again. He vowed. Once I'm dead, maybe I'll be able to see you again.
He knelt and placed a bouquet of cherry blossoms on her grave. The wind scattered some of the petals. He brushed the headstone free of dirt.
Wait for me. I loved you.
He made the confession he had never been able to make in life.
I'll never forget you.
He turned away and began to walk back to where he lived.
Sakura…
I miss you everyday. Every hour. Every minute. Every second. I would give up my life to see you smile again.
From the land of the dead, the cherry blossom smiled.
Did you like it? It was kind of short but I liked the idea and decided to do it. Incase you didn't know, the man at the grave was Gaara. Review!
