A/N: I admit, I was bored. That, and I started to write this, then realized this was sounding a whole lot like Anakin-Padme relationship when he (Anakin) turned. Thus, it became Star Wars.

I was also reading Star Wars fanfiction before writing this. Blame the other authors.

Without further ado...

Evanescent

-

Fading into nothingness,

Disappearing into dark,

Fleeting memories of light,

Gone, destroyed, forgotten.

-

Once she grasped the light of stars,

Once he held the light of Suns,

Now she's lost that light to one,

One who held the light of suns.

-

He had turned to darkness great,

To find some way to create,

Something to help stars survive,

But in fact caused them to die.

-

Memories are now long gone,

Evanescent life of light done wrong,

By darkness's cunning ways,

He did not dare see the grave.

-

Holding dark of black holes now,

To dead stars his silent howls,

Cry of dark and grief and death,

Ne'er saw her last long breath.

-

Until elusive light sneaks in,

Shattered glass, her last remain,

Child of nearly pure light,

To his eyes a blinding white.

-

So he sets to find her son,

Now the one who holds the suns,

Turn him to 'the righteous way',

Hold him close so he won't pay.

-

So the light starts growing on,

Shadows gone from darkened arms,

And there is now hope for one,

To take up once more mantled sun.
