Hi, well, this is my first fan fiction. I know it's not as good as others I've read but I did my best. It may look like it has no real meat at the beginning but I have everything planned, just bear with me. I enjoyed writing it so I hope you guys enjoy reading it. 'Kay tell me what you think about it and I promise something nice will happen. Cross my fingers while you read:)

This story takes place four days after YRP beats Vegnagun but does not follow completely the "Happy Ending". Later on, that plot will merge onto this one though. Hey, you'll catch up on your own soon enough.

Chapter 1

"Where the hell is she?", a cool feminine voice asked roughly.

Her voice echoed down the hallway, through the closed door and to my ears. I sighed and straightened up as loud angry footsteps echoed closer. The double doors were opened with a crash and Paine stood there looking livid as two guards ran behind her. "Yuna."

"Leave us," I said dismissively to the guards who left quickly as Paine glared at them. The door was closed with a quick snap. "Hello, Paine."

"What the hell do you mean by this stupidity," Paine snapped coldly. I flinched and turned my back to her. "Baralai told me through the Commsphere and I didn't believe him. You can't possibly be serious."

"Marriage is a serious thing," I answered looking out the window. I could hear her pace around angrily behind me. "Not to be taken lightly."

"Exactly," Paine said turning me around sharply. Her eyes were filled with thousands of emotions. Concern, anger, pity."Yuna you can't marry, Yunsung."

"Yes, I can," I said looking past her into the distance." I will. I have to."

"Why," Paine asked desperately." And, why so fucking fast?"

"Paine," I said fighting the urge to break down and cry." You must understand…"

"I do ," she said grabbing my hands and I couldn't hold the tears back any longer. "Oh, Yuna, I do want to understand. That's why I'm here, but I need you to tell me what's going on. Just four days ago you were seeking to recover your past and now… I'm your friend. Talk to me…"

"I …," I began. Suddenly, there was a deafening crash. Then loud angry yells and a soft thump.

"Oui pycdyntc," an angry bubbly voice yelled back. "Where's Yunie?"

"It's Rikku," Paine said surprised. I let go of her and began to move to the door quickly.

"Does she know," I asked in a rush as I crossed the large room.

"No," Paine answered coldly. "She was with Gippal. He called her over and we went.Right when we dropped her off, I got Baralai's call."

"Don't say anything yet, then," I said and she rolled her eyes crossing her arms without answering me.

Right before I reached the door, it was thrown open by a guard who had apparently been hurled at it by the petite blonde standing in the threshold looking even madder than Paine had been. "Rikku!"

"Damned Yevonites," Rikku said with a huff as she stretched the muscles of her arms. I knelt down to check the unconscious monk. My hands began to glow as I began to cast Cura on him, but before I could Rikku took my arm and pulled me up." Come on! There's no time, Yunie."

"How'd you get here so fast," Paine asked taking out a vial of Potion for the monk.

"Gip's ship" Rikku said distractedly. She turned and gave a small angry yell grabbing Paine, too." Hey! I told you there's no time."

"Rikku," I said. "What's so urgent?"

"Oh," she said giggling. Her eyes twinkled as she looked at me." Guess, whose back?"
