(AN// It's true, another Jake/Ness one-shot fanfic. Yay.)

Out of my peripheral vision, I saw Jacob's expression change. It was something I knew well- he was asking Daddy a question in his thoughts. Daddy inclined his head just a little bit, to show Jacob he was listening. I watched Jake's face as it turned very awkward, but he was still trying as hard as he could to be serious.

Daddy flinched. I could guess where this was going. Then he nodded, ever so slightly. If I hadn't been looking, I wouldn't have seen it.

Jacob turned so that he could look into my chocolate brown eyes and take my hand.

"Do you love me, Nessie?"

My hand was already in his, so I thought of every memory I had of him, starting with that very first kiss under the water tower. He took that as a yes.

He got up from the couch then, pulling me with him. He set me so that I was standing, but he got down on one knee, pulling something out of his pocket. A small black box.

We had the whole room's attention now.

Out of the little box, he pulled out the most beautiful golden ring. The tiny engraving, "Forever and for always" was glittering visibly in the light.

"Renesmee Carlie Cullen. I promise to love you forever. Every single day of forever. Will you marry me?"

At this point, all of my brain functions had ceased. Yes, I screamed at myself, tell him yes! Getting the words out was hard.

"Yes, Jacob." That was when the tears of joy spilled over.

Aunt Alice began plotting the epic wedding, and Momma failed miserably trying to convince her it would be kept small, unlike her own.

Uncle Emmett laughed, slapping Jacob on the back and congratulating us both. Uncle Jasper just sat for a moment, seemingly overwhelmed by the flood of emotions.

Daddy and Carlisle just smiled, Esme ran over to hug Jacob and me.

Aunt Rosalie looked liked she would cry if it was possible. I would get my happily ever after, she wouldn't.

Jacob and I kept our hands intertwined. Our lips never parted for the rest of the day.
