Terra Nova
I see a rainbow start to form,
Within the clearing rain.
I see ships in orbit high above,
New Earth's for Man to claim.
…
I wonder if it was once like this,
On Earth, mankind's first home.
Deep within a long lost past,
Before into rubble it was blown.
…
How long it took for life to form,
Perhaps millions of years?
How long it took for deep blue seas,
Above which a sky so clear?
…
I take a breath and smell the air,
It's ambrosia to my lungs.
Already ships are landing near,
So many of them have come.
…
And I feel joy just standing here,
The site of Man's rebirth.
A whole new world but just like home,
A world we can call Earth.
