Author's Note: Here's the begged for sequel to Puddles. I've got a Biology project, some essays that need to be written and Algebra homework that I should be doing right now, but this is way more interesting. :) And this one's dedicated to my best friend who just came out of the closet!

Sasuke had found himself staring at the now familiar ceiling of Naruto's apartment for a good hour, twenty-three minutes and eight seconds. The shadows had shifted since he first began his staring, forming wavering shapes that his sleepless mind didn't appreciate. Frustrated, he threw the blankets off of him and began to head for the kitchen. Hopefully, a drink of water would help his thoughts.

Sasuke was a little surprised to find Naruto sitting at the table, hands wrapped around a mug of-was that hot chocolate? The blond hair was in worse disarray than normal, cerulean eyes half-lidded with tiredness. The black sweat pants and old white T-shirt made Naruto look both younger and older at the same time.

The blonde looked up as Sasuke came in. "Can't sleep either? There's more by the stove, by the way." Naruto gestured at his mug.

Sasuke grabbed his own chipped mug from a cupboard and began making tea. He had never been one for sweet things, Naruto knew, but the blonde always offered. The brunette was never quite sure why. He sat across from the blonde and sipped at the tea, trying to catch Naruto's eye from over the mugs. It wasn't that Naruto had been avoiding him, but Sasuke was still puzzling over his comment from half a week ago.

"I can't not trust you, Sasuke. I know you too well….among other things."

Then something struck him as odder. Naruto was generally a deep sleeper and could fall asleep just about anywhere, so why was he up?

"Something wrong, Sasuke?"

The question was reminiscent of half a week ago. The Uchiha raised his head to look at Naruto directly.

To hell with it. Sasuke's curiosity was getting the best of him. "Naruto…About what you said when I came back…what did you mean by that?"

Naruto ducked his head, blood rising to his face.

"Naruto?"

It took Naruto a good ten seconds to gather his courage before rising and walking around the table. Sasuke followed his movements, but didn't back away when Naruto placed his gentle, calloused hands on Sasuke's cheeks and pressed his mouth against his.

Sasuke stiffened at first out of pure instinct, but relaxed as he felt the warm, soft lips against his own, a strange mixture of hot chocolate, cinnamon and Naruto himself. A wonderful taste.

Naruto pulled away just enough to search the onyx eyes.

A smirk crossed Sasuke's face. "Is that what you were scared about? You know, that would have saved me a good deal of thinking." With that, Naruto grinned and bent down slightly for another kiss.
