Curiosity killed the cat. Fortunately for Kate, she was no cat, yet was very curious.

On a bright sunny day, a blond haired, green eyed girl was walking down in a small place called Acomb. Places were busy and rushing around. She loved playing and jumping, when she was much, much younger, it was so much fun! But.. Not as fun as it was when she had her friend, Amelia. She sighed at the thought. Amelia went missing seven years ago, predicted to be dead, cops stopped looking. Parents gave up hope and adopted. When talked about her, no one knows her, but Kate. It's like she's a story to tell, a fairy tale.

Kate walked into a pastry shop and grabbed some goods to eat for her journey home, yet again sighing at the thought as she left the shop. Green shoes went one in front of the other as she carried her bag in her right hand.

Up ahead a rather large church loomed over her as she was walking past. She never liked that church, it always had a creepy sorta vibe to it. Looking left and up at a non leafed tree, she stared past the branches to see a figure. She froze and looked on. It was just a statue, she chuckled at herself hoping to give self-courage. She shook her head and carried on to walk until it felt like a hand went through her left shoulder, she shivered and quickly turned around. Nothing was there. Was she imagining it, to lost in thought she didn't see a large broken brick behind her as she stepped backwards, and tripped. Falling she landed on the church's dead grass. She gulped and shivered before standing and dusting herself off. 'It's day light, i'm fine' she thought to herself.

Picking up her bag she walked forward a few steps, and decided to peer at the statues. 'Maybe i should re-unite with my religious side' She thought as she looked upon them. Looking around she saw what appeared to be a skeleton and animal prints around it.

She scrunched up her nose and shivered. She suddenly felt surrounded my eyes and a deathly glow. 'Should i call the cops?' She thought to herself. "No" A voice suddenly said.

"Who said that?" Kate turned round sharply on her heels and fell against a tree root upside the church's walls. Looking up, down, left and right, she saw nothing. 'I'm getting out of here' She quickly thought to herself. 'I can't stay here'.

"Wait"

"Who said that!?" She panicked, scared. Curse her damn curiosity.

"Please don't go, you gotta help me"

"Who are you?"

"Help me and you shall know" The voice said. Without having to say the words, Ok, out loud. It went dead silent and something in the tree above wasn't there before. There looked like there was this little boy draped over the branch, dead. Kate held in a scream.

Taking a deep breath she left her bag and slowly approached the other tree. The voice then said. "Find how i died, and i shall be revealed to you.." Kate nodded determined with her curiosity and bit her lip before standing in front of the tree's bark. She gripped a branch and started to climb. She doesn't know why, but somehow that boy looks intresting, intresting in a way that the boys pocket is buldged with some sort of item. Climbing higher and higher she reached the boy and leaned over to his pocket, a muddy hard object came out. It was a rock with three lumps on it.

"Huh?" She tilted her head.

"Go home, return tomorrow after you have figured out what it could mean" The voice said.

"Wait.." Kate held out her hand as if reaching for nothing.

"Bye.." And it was gone. Kate looked down, at the object in her hand and sighed. "What have i gotten myself into..?" She said aloud as she started to climb down.
