Eh, disregard any mistakes noticed....
Friday night
Friday night at the movies was the best way to pass Fridays. Especially if the whole Ichigo gang was going with you.
It was night and everyone argued on which movie to see. The girls wanted a romance (like always) and the guys wanted an action filled movie (again obviously). All throughout their bickering, you and Ichigo remained silent-feeling amused as you watched the gang have a battle of "wills".
At the end you voiced your opinion. Why not go to a scary movie?
Of course having Ichigo as your boyfriend he backed you up, and everyone decided to go with your option. In the end, everyone piled inside to get their popcorn, sodas, and candies. Afterwards, you sat in between both Renji and Ichigo. The lights dimmed down and the movie started. Yup, a very good way to pass the Friday night away.
The not so good part was having a frightening thunder storm arrive outside after thirty minutes into the movie while you were all watching the Exorcist. Wait a moment, the worst part was having the lights flickering on and off then suddenly shutting OFF COMPLETELY.
Everyone and I mean EVERYONE went into a panic. Girls were screaming aloud, something about a hand touching their feet- most likely the boys. Boys were shouting curses and scaring the poor girls while yelling Boo!
In the mean time, you were clinging to Ichigo while griping his hand in a bruising grip.
"Oh god", you groaned, shutting your eyes tightly and counting to ten slowly. You did not do well in the dark after seeing a scary movie. It started making you see…things…normal people don't see.
"Hey, I'm here. Don't worry," Ichigo said softly," I'll protect you."
"Yeah, ____! I'm here! I can protect you better than this poor excuse of a human you call boyfriend!", Renji gladly interrupted [1].
"Shut up! She's my girl not yours, so you don't need to protect her!"
And as always there they went into their shouting contest in the dark, making you forget about the moving shapes and your fright. You thanked Renji silently, knowing he noticed your fright and tried to get your mind off it.
After a few more moments the lights went back on and the manager apologized to everyone.
The movie went back on and everyone resumed seeing the movie. While inside, you smiled and thought of how fortunate you were to have friends like Renji, Rukia, Orihime, Chad, Ishida…well you know who.
You squeezed Ichigo's hand a last time and finally turned your full attention to the movie.
1.) Renji does not like you as more than a friend, he just said that to make you feel better. ^_^
