"Roxas you have got to cheer up! Your never gonna get the ladies if you keep acting like that!" Axel said overzealously. He was trying to cheer up Roxas, who was lying down on the bench. They sat down in the only park in Twilight Town and Roxas wasn't in the best of moods.
"Axel I have no interest in getting a girlfriend, you should know that as well as anyone else." Roxas' irritated voice said, he kept his eyes shut, trying to block out the light.
"Geeze Roxy your no fun." Axel settled down next to Roxas.
Axel knew that Roxas was gay, almost everyone knew it. Roxas didn't flaunt it, so it was funny when a girl would start flirting with him. Axel never had a problem with Roxas being gay, he himself was bisexual.
Roxas would never reveal if he did like a guy, and he never dated anyone. Axel was constantly swinging back from relationship flings to just having random sex with people. The two were best friends except that they both liked each other. It was blatantly obvious to everyone of their friends but neither Axel or Roxas would admit it. They kept trying to get either Roxas or Axel to say it but neither one would.
"Hey Roxas?" Axel asked, finally breaking the silence.
"What?"
"Why don't you ever try to date anyone?" It was a genuine question, one that Axel had been dying to ask.
Roxas sat up. "Well, I already like someone else" He said meekly
"You do? Why didn't you tell me? Who is it?" Axel sounded like a 16 year old girl who just got the juiciest piece of gossip.
"Okay one, yes I do. Two, I didn't tell you because I knew that this is how you would react. And three, I'm not gonna tell you who it is."
"But why not! Come on give me a hint" Axel started bugging Roxas
This went on for about an hour, Roxas could always stand Axels bugging, Axel kept asking but Roxas would just say no. Finally he just got fed up though.
". Come one give me a hint."
"Alright, alright, geeze I'll give you a hint. You know him"
"What that's not a good hint! Give me another one!"
"Fine! He's my best friend" Roxas got up and walked away, before Axel even had time to react to what he said.
"No way, he can't mean me."

Axel didn't see Roxas for a week. For the time that he didn't see Roxas, he asked everyone that knew Roxas who his best friend was. Everyone said that he was. Now Axel was just on a mission to find Roxas. He finally found someone that said they thought they say him on top of the clock tower.
Axel headed up there, when he reached the top of the clock tower he saw a lone figure sitting on the edge.
"Hey stranger" Axel went and sat next to Roxas
"'Hey stranger?' I don't see you for almost a week and that's the first thing you say to me?" Roxas tried to sound annoyed but he couldn't help but laugh. Axel laughed along with him.
They sat in silence, but soon Axel couldn't take it anymore. Without saying a word he grabbed Roxas' shoulders and turned him to face him. He captured the smaller boys lips with his own, Roxas practically melted. The kiss ended before either of them had had enough.
"I love you too, Roxas"
