Adelaide

A/N: Hi-ho, sweeties! I'm listening to "Adelaide" by Anberlin, one of the best bands out there right now. Listen to them!

Disclaimer: I don't own Gravitation.

The streets of Tokyo were packed. Pedestrians pushing every which way to get to the places needed to go. Car horns blasted as angry drivers tried to force the line to move quickly. A blonde man made his way expertly through the rush hour crowds, stoic expression held firmly in place by his indifferent eyes. His name was Eiri Yuki and he was a famous romance novelist.

"Yuki!" The author turned around just as Shuichi pounced on him. He braced himself by putting a hand on the brick building. The briefcase he was holding had dropped to the ground by the sudden attack from his boyfriend. Many people glanced their way, some of them staying while others continued on with their lives. "I missed you! Work was so boring today! K had a-"

"Shuichi," The writer set the pink haired boy on the ground. "You're attracting attention, stop."

"-new gun, though. A .44 caliber with added gadgets or something-"

Some pedestrians passing by the couple gave them weird looks.

"Shuichi," Yuki tried to quite the loud boy once again.

"-then Tohma showed up and congratulated us on making it onto a music-"

"Shuichi!" An irritated look caught the author's eyes. The young singer stopped his babbling at the harsh tone his lover used. "Stop your incessant blabber! I don't want to hear about your dumb work."

"What? Why? I thought you liked hearing about my music."

"Well, I don't," Yuki let a little frustration show on his features as more people stopped to watch the famous couple's quarrel. "It's boring and childish the way you keep going on and on about everything that happened in the studio."

The singer seemed close to tears. Yuki closed his eyes and sighed. When he opened them, they has lost their hard look. "Come, Shuichi."

"Huh?" He seemed confused. "Where? Why should I go anywhere with you?"

"I thought you wanted to tell me about your day," The blonde coaxed.

"I thought you hated listening to all my jabbering," Shuichi sniffed. "You said it was boring and childish."

"I don't," He answered truthfully. "Look, not here. I'll listen to it at home, Shuichi."

"Really?" A sparkle came back to the moody singer's eyes. "Are you sure, Yuki?"

"You won't if you keep on asking such infernal questions," The novelist warned.

"Yahoo!" Shuichi pumped a fist in the air. Yuki shook his head at the sudden change of mood. "Come on, Yuki! Let's get home!"

What have I gotten myself into? Yuki let the singer pull him all the way to the apartment.

A/N: So, did you like it? I had the song on repeat the whole time I was writing it. It's still playing, too. "…Undeniable. Adelaide, Adelaide, you really had me going this time. Adelaide, Adelaide, you need to quit-quit making a scene…"

Now, I'm going to follow my cat's advice and take a nap.

Cheers,

Kuroy Inu.
