Lagrange 1

Allelujah was missing, Tieria was injured and in urgent care Lockon Stratos died and now Setsuna F. Seie was missing. Sumeragi Lee Noriega Celestial Beings Tactical Forecaster is devastated as she watches the wreckage of the battlefield. Exia and its solar reactor are gone, meaning that at least she knew Setsuna was alive. A Union ship had done a pick up on Kyrios from what she gathered taking with them Allelujah and Kyrios she hoped they could recover the GN drive somehow. Scanning the battlefield in their assault container Feldt felt saw in her small portable console light up. The ship had picked up a life sign the wreckage of a mobile suit from the debris it was a Union Flag.

"Ms. Sumeragi, I'm picking up life signs inside that mobile suit" Sumeragi watched through the ships bridge the floating Flag with a destroyed solar reactor. She made the choice quick and it surprised the surviving crew of Ian and Feldt.

"Pick him up Ian can you use the arms?" she asked. Ian hummed nodding the older man understanding quickly.

"But Ms. Sumeragi" Feldt said with the sadness she had been holding back creeping in.

"We have seen enough death already Feldt, he was a pilot doing his job please let's pick him up and move on there is nothing else left. Let's try to save a life at least just one, from this battlefield" Sumeragi said her shoulders slumped and voice broken and emotion filled. Feldt did not respond and Ian moved the destroyed Flag into the assault container.

"Loaded…let's head back to Lagrange 3 to regroup with the Celestial Being ships." They made for Lagrange 3 and reunited with the support staff. Once reunited the crew's pried open the Flag and took the unconscious pilot out. Sumeragi was herself overseeing the process after all the death she felt if she did not sae the life of this pilot make it through she might just break. Tieria was already recuperating. He was after all…special. Veda had all their identities held a secret after all but sometimes she wondered if Tieria himself knew how different he was. To what extent he was not like most human beings, still the Union pilot had his suit torn and his helmet cracked. With severe burns on his suit across his left side and back. She followed the medical team to the infirmary where she watched from the window outside the infirmary. The suit was removed and angry burns across the left side of his body. She turned away not baring the sight as it reminded her of her tactical blunder from what seemed so long ago.

"That's a result of god's guidance" Emilio's voice echoed in her head. I will not allow destiny to take someone away again. I failed enough so please I don't know who you are but for both our sake's make it out alive. Sumeragi said this to herself and repeated it a few times to ensure herself. Turning one last time to the window a nurse hit a key and tainted it black. A message on the window read: Surgery in Progress, Sumeragi turned and walked off I need a drink badly she thought and made her way to find a drink. Thankfully she still remembered where the mess was located in their resupply base so she was glad to find a good drink scotch two ice cubes and a whole lot of free time. She had asked to be update on the pilot's recovery. She had been in the mess for hours now Ian had dove straight into work that being his coping mechanism. He worked his wife and daughter providing the comfort and support of a loving family. Feldt, the poor girl had shut herself in her room and had hardly come out sense then. Ian's daughter Mileina had been bring her meals to her room. She had never met the girl until now really and she was a sweet thing. Picking up the glass she took another strong swig and she felt the liquid burn down her throat. The alcohol already numbing her pain for however long that would last. The time seemed to have gone faster than she thought because a limping Tieria had found her rather quickly with doctors at his tail. The nurse with obvious agitation supporting part of his weight as she had his arm slung across him spoke to her.

"I'm sorry Ms. Sumeragi he wouldn't stay in bed and would not stop protesting until we brought him to you" she said glaring at Tieria who ignored the glare as he stared at Sumeragi.

"Ms. Sumeragi we have a problem from what people have told me, we are missing Kyrio's GN drive" he said. Staring into his eyes she could see the confusion pain and loss all mixing. But he had no real adequate way to express those feelings, she was surprised he wasn't her blaming her though she felt she deserved it.

"I know we need to act quickly I know we have at least one reserve pilot with a GN machine. I will make a plan as soon as I can. Until then Tieria rest" He was about to protest but Sumeragi was having none of that.

"That's an order Tieria, rest you will only hinder us in your condition" he gritted his teeth.

"Damn…fine" he sighed and the nursed helped him out of the mess. Sumeragi watched him go and the guilt welled up again. Like a burning sensation in her chest. She quickly returned to her drink to keep the feeling away just a little longer. She needed to still work properly just a little bit more she sat down and drank until she couldn't remember falling asleep in the table.

A tap to her shoulder woke her up it was Ian, "Sumeragi…he's okay, doctors put him in the regenetive pod to treat his wounds" Ian informed her with a small smile. Sumeragi felt a great weight lift off her shoulders knowing a life was saved. Almost sardonically she said the name of their lost friend out loud.

"Allelujah" she thanked out loud but not without remorse and anger. She understood Sestuna now a little better with his lack of faith. She herself couldn't remember the last time she even thought about her religion. Her father was a catholic as were most Spaniards and her mother was just as well of a Christian denomination. But religion was never something that was reinforced she simply, was catholic from her father's side. She hummed and rubbed her head as she felt a migraine coming on. She hadn't thought of her parents in ages they were long gone now. Died in a car accident but she was passed their deaths. However one never truly forgets such events, her mood was improved a bit by the news of the pilot being alive so she decided not to dwell on their death at the moment. Standing up she almost fell as she felt the after effects of her heavy drinking hit her and Ian grabbed her instantly the older man sighing.

"I got you come on, let's get you to your room you need to rest you, well we have all had a long, long day" he lamented and Sumeraig allowed him to guide her to her bedroom. She was dropped on it and he helped her remove her boots before she was fast asleep. Thankfully a dreamless sleep.

A month later…

Groggy, with a dull feeling all over his body Graham Aker awoke in an unfamiliar place. Some obvious medical personnel were around him moving about. He opened his mouth to speak but the dryness in his throat made him cough. "Easy there, here I thought you might need something to quench your thirst. IV keeps you hydrated but doesn't do much for the parched tongue huh?" the voice said. Blinking away the blurred vision Graham was met with the smile of a kindly blond woman with glasses. Looking around a bit more in his room he was in a pod of sorts wearing a medical gown his last thoughts were fuzzy. That's right he had done a final charge on that young man. Shakily getting up the kind woman helped him drink some water and he gulped it like precious life giving liquid. Up and propped on the capsule he spoke up wondering of his surroundings.

"Where am I?" he asked the place was definitely not a Union ship, or any of the other's block for sure. The woman hesitated before she spoke up again.

"Will you promise not to do anything rash if I tell you?" she asked Graham noticed the people inside had stopped moving and looked nervously at him. He was weak and unarmed he doubted he would be much of a threat to them. To ease their minds he agreed.

"I won't do anything rash" he said. The woman looked at him and smile a little apologetically.

"You are inside a Celestial Being Resupply base, we found your mobile suit floating while looking for our comrades. Our tactical Forecaster Sumeragi Lee Noriega ordered my husband Ian to pick you up" she explained. Graham froze for a moment and though a certain anger raised in his mind he let it rest. The woman clearly civilian not a soldier she didn't have the feel of one. So he did not try anything but a bitter chuckle did escape his lips.

"I suppose I'm going to be interrogated now?" he asked. Looking to the opposite wall of the room. The woman shook her head not losing her kind demeanor around him.

"No at all Sumeragi will want to speak with you no doubt she saved your life, she has been keeping tabs on your recovery process sense you were brought in" she said. "However you will have to be guarded for understandable reasons" she said with an apologetic shrug. Graham thought the information over for a bit, why would Celestial Beings tactical forecaster want him alive? He had no information he could possibly give they couldn't find out. He was not stupid enough to not believe that Celestial Being probably had quite the network of information down on Earth and even the military.

"Well then, I want to know why this Union pilot is so interesting her as well" Graham said out loud and decided to tell them his name. If his dog tags survived the battle chances are they already knew his name but he felt he should introduced himself. The woman had been kind to him so far and he was not one to disparage a kindness done unto him. "My name Is Captain Graham Aker of the Union's Overflags" he introduced himself to the kind woman.

The woman returned the greeting with the usual warm smile and caring nature "My name is Linda Vashti a technician for Celestial Being, it's a pleasure to meet you Mister Aker" Linda extended a gloved hand to him. Graham took it though his grip was still a bit weak from being under for…well he should probably ask that.

"Please just Graham I feel old being cold mister" the pilot chuckled. The Union pilot offered a charming smile making Linda laugh behind her hands.

"My you certainly are quite the charmer" Linda laughed making Graham grin. Even Celestial Being had regular people trying to live their lives it would seem. After his brief conversation with Linda Graham was given some clothes Celestial Being uniforms not less. He was then given a room with security placed outside. While he could roam a bit he had to be guarded at all times. Not to mention he had to stay away from the hangar. The purple headed man Tieria Arde, if Graham remembered correctly didn't particularly trust him. Though he suppose it was to be expected he was the enemy. His life saved by the whims of their commander. Speaking off Graham had yet to meet his Sumeragi Lee Noriega everyone said saved his life. As he sat in his room at the desk where he was given monitored Internet access he began looking for answers. First he looked on how Operation Fallen Angels faired in the media and it was resound success. Apparently they believed Celestial Being gone Graham chuckled the hated organization was still here. He looked up to see if the list of the dead had been released publically and there it was to a sort of morbid fascination. Graham read his name listed under the K.I.A Graham Aker Union. He as well saw his friend Daryl did not make it as well. Closing the internet down Graham reclined in his chair. He had so many questions so many things to ask Celestial Being but he didn't know who to ask.

A knock to his door broke him from his musings "come in" Graham said. In walked a woman he had never seen before. From all the crew he had met he was still wary of him, but for the most part they were rather welcoming. If there's one thing Graham learned was that everyone in Celestial Being down to the bloody cooks had suffered one way or another from war. He hated himself for not being able to continue his hate of the organization. Their goal was a noble one but their interventions got a lot of people killed some friends and some poor civilians. Like doctor Eifman a researcher who just happened to know too much. Sighing Graham looked at the woman long brown hair amber eyes and a rather curvy figure.

"Hello my name is Sumeragi Lee Noriega" Graham blinked though he was sure he never seen her before. She felt familiar somehow.

"I'm Graham Aker, so you're the person who saved my life?" Graham asked. Sumeragi watched him for a moment before sighing and answering.

"Yeah that was me" she said closing her eyes. Graham noticed her hands folded before her fingers fiddling with each other. She also now and then seemed to grip the air. He had seen that from soldiers enough times to know. Graham stood and smiled speaking with a wry grin.

"How about we get a drink as a thanks" he said. Sumeragi's face showed a relief and her amber eyes smiled at him.

"Sounds like a plan I need a drink, bad" the two left out. Unbeknownst to her Tieria watched them leave as he held a small pad containing the information about the retrieval of Kyrios and its GN drive. From taking the GN drive back their operative had destroyed the HRL facility destroying the data they gathered and silenced all scientist. Though he felt bad about the deaths he also knew the necessity of it all. He was going to give her the report but he thought better of it. Closing the window the pad he walked away wondering why she saved that Union Pilot.

A drink in their hands this time some nice Brandy the pilot and tactical forecaster sat down for a while. No words uttered for a moment with Graham staring her for a bit trying to figure out where he had seen her before. Alcohol in her system the guilt and pain numbed Sumeragi felt a little bold at the moment the alcohol definably boosting her self-confidence at the moment spoke up. "Staring at a lady is rude you know" she said while she clutched her glass in her hands. Graham chuckled good naturedly before saying a name out lout catching Sumeragi off guard.

"Lisa Kujo" He said Sumeragi gasped looking at him and Graham confirmed his suspicions. "Ah so that is you, my friend talked about you quite a bit" Graham admitted.

"Friend?" she said not really remembering who from her past he could be meaning to say.

"Billy Katagiri, he was part of my Overflags team when you guys were doing your interventions" Graham explained taking a sip of his drink the bitter liquid burning down his throat.

"Billy….me and him used to attend the Military Acedemy in the A.E.U some years back" Lisa smiled a little taking a drink the memories bitter on her mind. Graham looked at her face and could plainly see the pain swirling there.

"You drink to numb something. Is it pain or guilt? I wonder" he commented finishing his drink.

"A mixture of both really" the alcohol must have loosened her lips. She was revealing a little too much to the blond pilot. When he turned his green eyes at her she wondered how bad that scar he would have had was. Gene regeneration therapy did wonders in this day and age no traces of damage were left. The tussled blond hair and she noticed the golden scruff on his chin meant he hadn't shaved. She would not deny the man was pleasant on the eyes. Lisa frowned and put her drink down even she knew when she had been having just a little too much.

"Well I almost turned to drinking, after…the incident" Graham said his eyes really far away. Graham Aker was an enigma to her beyond the name his dog tags had been burnt to a crisp when he was taken out of his cockpit and no one knew anything about him. He was just a pilot the Tactical forecaster took pity on but the weeks or so he had been allowed to move around. He was very reserved though when he did engage somebody he was charming and a rather confidant man. Perhaps that's why she found herself enjoying his company. He reminded her of him, but in a good way it wasn't a dull ache but a good feeling of reminiscent thoughts.

"A bad mistake huh" she echoed, now she was thinking of him in a bad manner. Emilio the name echoed in her mind holding his body to her as he did his best to comfort her.

"We all make mistakes, sometimes those mistakes end up costing us more than we could ever imagine" Lisa said. Graham watched her and chuckled in a bittersweet moment he thought of his old mentor and smiled.

"Yeah I guess so" he suddenly felt like having another drink grabbing his glass he refilled the drink offered Lisa and she accepted it.

"Well let's do this again then, Graham Aker" Graham introduced himself again. Lisa watched him for a moment and a tug at her heart made her smile without any pain but after a long month it was a genuine smile.

"Lisa Kujo" she introduced herself using her name instead of her alias. Clanking their glasses together the two people found a connection in each other. Just for that moment the world outside didn't exist it was just them the not half-bad brandy and a good companion to remember times past well and bad.

I always wanted to write a story of Graham being a Celestial Being Gundam Meister. So this is sort of my way of him beint introduced to Celestial Being it's a short story going to be five chapters long taking place in the five years Celestial Being was inactive. Graham will get aquianted with Sumeragi and who knows maybe form a bond. Or even a romantic relationship I always found the parallel in their stories would make these two an interesting romantic couple. Hope you enjoy will post next chapter he begins thinking of joining Celestial Being.
