Title: Cold Summer Night
It was summer, the last day of summer. It was cold on that night but the sky was clear. The stars shone brightly in the dark night sky. The crickets, the owls and the creatures of the night sang happily on the cold summer night.
It was by the garden, a very beautiful garden. With lake so clear, grass so green and the cherry blossoms bloom. The garden was wide with many different colors of flowers. The white rabbits were playing happily in the cold summer night.
Kazuki was seating on a cherry blossom tree that one summer night. The cool breeze blew his long, shiny brunette hair. Kazuki sat there, listening to the songs of nature. He was just seating there, enjoying the cold summer night.
Kazuki just sat there, on the cherry blossom tree, loosing himself to nature. He didn't realize that someone had climbed on the tree and sat next to him.
"Hey," the person said.
Kazuki turned around, "Jubei," he said, smiling while looking at his best friend.
"What are you doing here, Kazuki?" Jubei asked, "In this cold night, without even bringing a sweater? You could catch a cold," Jubei said, full of concerns.
"Don't worry, Jubei. I'll be fine," Kazuki said.
"But," Jubei said, "It is really cold tonight. You know youcould easily get sick."
"I know, Jubei, but you don't have to worry," Kazuki said, reassuring his best friend. Sometimes, he even wants it to be more than best friend.
"But Kazuki," Jubei protested.
"Look at the sky, Jubei," Kazuki instructed. Jubei looked at the sky, where Kazuki is looking at right now. "This sight is worth catching a cold," Kazuki said, chuckling a bit.
"Yeah, it is beautiful, Kazuki, but it's not something worth getting sick for." Jubei said again.
Kazuki rested his head on Jubei's shoulder, "Your presence warmed me, Jubei," Kazuki said softly. "I can go through anything with you beside me."
"Oh, Kazuki," Jubei said. He wrapped his arms around Kazuki to prevent him from catching cold.
"Listen, Jubei," Kazuki said, "Do you… have other feelings for me, as in more than best friends?"
Jubei was silence for a while, not knowing what he wants to answer.
"I like you, Jubei," Kazuki said. "More than a best friend, I like you more than a best friend. And I think, I may be, no, I AM in love with you."
"Oh Kazuki," Jubei said.
Kazuki sat up straight again, "It's okay if you don't share the same feelings as I do. I don't know what I was thinking."
"No, that's not true, Kazuki." Jubei said. "I wouldn't sat I'll protect you forever if I don't like you. The very first time I lay my eyes on you, that was the first time we've met, I have already fallen in love with you."
"Are you sure you're not just saying that, Jubei?" Kazuki asked.
"I'm positively sure that I love you, Kazuki." Jubei said. "I can even tell the whole world right now."
Kazuki smiled, "No, it's enough when you just tell me, Jubei."
Jubei smiled at Kazuki, "I love you, Kazuki," he said softly. He leaned forward towards Kazuki and kissed him right on the lips, for a pure 2 minutes.
The last day of summer, it was a cold summer night.
The night sky was clear with stars shone brightly in the wide, dark night sky.
Two beings had confessed, their feelings now revealed.
Feelings now confessed,
Both friends shared their first, pure kiss, on that cold summer night.
