"Hey, Katie!" my friend Angel screamed as I slammed my locker to go to homeroom.
"Yo," I stated. As I turned around I saw Johnny Cade walking into his homeroom down the hallway. Damn, that boy has swag.
"Katie, Hellooooooooooo, anyone home?" she asked as I snapped out of my gaze, "Shut up."
"You know you love me," Angel said sauntering off. I sighed, I had my first class of the day with Johnny, he made me a nervous wreck. I could barely mutter an audible sentence when he's around. Even better, we were getting assigned partners for a project in language arts and I had it first period. I walked into Mr. Bordo' s class at the last possible second I could without being late. By that time, Bordo already finished calling partners and the only empty seat left was next to Johnny, fuck my life.
"You're late," Bordo told me.
"S-s-sorry," I stuttered, I sat across from Johnny, "hey," I just about whispered.
"Hey," he squeaked out. Bordo went on explaining the project, we had to write a short story together and give an evaluation of our partner that went towards our participation grade. I took a deep breath to stop myself from sounding nervous then I turned to Johnny.
"I guess we can take the class period and just write down a bunch of ideas and sort through them tomorrow," he nodded. I started to write all my ideas down while Johnny just seemed to sit there and write an incoherent phrase every few minutes. The bell rang and I was relieved to be out of there. Angel was waiting for me outside with her boyfriend Two-Bit Matthews who was also friends with Johnny. They were making out pretty fiercely before they noticed me.
"You gonna let me join or what?" I asked jokingly.
"If you insist," he said leaning in, "you wish," I laughed.
"Two-Bit, me, Dally, and Tiff are going to the movies tomorrow night. You wanna come?" Angel asked me.
"No, I don't want to be a third wheel," I replied.
"You wont be, I'll get Johnny to come, he ain't got nothin better to do." I felt my body tense up.
"She would love," Angel said as she walked off
