This is a story I wrote for an English project. I wrote it before Peter Capaldi was announced as the new Doctor. I am actually very excited to see what dynamic Peter's Doctor brings to the show. Please review if you liked it. I love constructive criticism.

Disclaimer: The BBC owns Doctor Who.

L: WHAT! NO! Wait, what?!

C: Is this actually happening? How did I not know this was happening?

L: This can't happen! He can't regenerate! He has three more years on his BBC contract. He can't just up and leave because he "finally found the door leading out of the studio."

C: Who's going to replace him? Is it going to be a boy? A girl? What if he's ginger? What if he's NOT ginger? If he's ginger, will the show end when he dies? What if he's blond? What if he's black? What if he's gay?

M: What if he constantly falls in love like Tennant?

L: What about River?

C: Will he even run into River?

R: The only possible reason she would even be in the next season at all would be if Matt were still there. I mean, she is his Doctor's wife?

C: What if River dates the 12th Doctor?!

L What if they bring a new love interest? He only has two hearts: one for Rose and one for River.

M: Remember when he first met River, and she said that the last time she had seen him was when he showed up at her door with a new haircut?

R: Matt Smith just got a new haircut! He bloody well shaved all his hair off!

C: What if he has no 'thing'? What is his dress code going to be?

L: What if he never says 'Run!' Every Doctor has it as a catchphrase along with their individual catchphrase.

C: What if he doesn't have a catchphrase?

L: They can't get rid of the bowties! Bowties are cool!

C: What if the 12th Doctor is John Hurt?

R: No, John Hurt is the forgotten Doctor. He doesn't even count as the Doctor since he acted without and in the name of peace and sanity but not in the name of the Doctor.

C: What if Clara hates him? What if she loves him more than Matt's Doctor?

L: What if they write out Clara?

R: She's the impossible girl. They can't just write her out.

M: Steven Moffat said, and I quote, "Prepare for your hearts to break as we say goodbye."

R: Steven Moffat breaks our hearts without even trying.

M: Yeah. Remember Silence in the Library/Forest of the Dead and The Angels Take Manhattan and The Name of the Doctor?!

C: What do you think it will be like if he actually tries to break our hearts?

L: What if he betrays River?

C: Oh, my gosh. What if he does?

L: I would hate Steven Moffat forever.

R: Come on! He would never betray River. He has a TARDIS. He can just go back to before she died, and spend time with that version of her.

M: Clara can always go to the library and sacrifice herself to get River back.

L: Clara can't do that though, because she is only for saving the Doctor.

R: But think of how many times River has saved the Doctor, and how many times she will save him if she is freed.

C: Do you think the show will end after the eighth season? Maybe it's just a filler to wrap everything after the fall of the eleventh up and then the show will theoretically end.

R: Well, if they take River out, the ratings will certainly drop, but people will still watch to see what happens next. Anyway, they can't actually end Doctor Who.
