THIS STORY WAS BASED ON A SKOOL WRITING PROMPT.

INSPIRED BY REAL PEOPLE, IN A WORLD WE HAD TO WRITE ABOUT.

I WILL SHUT UP NOW.

CHAPTER 1

"Ok guys, let's take it from the top." I said.

We were at band practice. I looked over at our drummer, Devin, then down at the drum kit. "The Independables" it said in big black, blue, and red letters. I looked over at our guitar player, TJ, then at Sarah, our bassist. It was a typical Saturday. That is until it sarted to rain. I couldn't remember the last time it rained in San Jose.

"Can we stop, Jen?" TJ said "I'm getting bored of practicing."

"YEAH!" screamed Devin "you promised lunch at 1!"

"And?" I said. "It's 8!" Devin said angerly. "Fine." I said as i walked over to the closet/pantry and pulled out a box of mac n' cheese. I turned away until I noticed a light coming from the closet "What the- we don't have a closet light. HEY GUYS!" I said.

"What?" said Sarah

"Look at this." I said pointing to a big hole in th closet

"Well," Devin said. "let's go in it!

And that's where it all started. The last thing I remember was falling down a tunnel. And a cat with stars arround it. "Weird", I thought

"Jenny!" said a faint buy clear voice. It was TJ.

A splash of cold water hit my face. I came up with a gasp.

"WHAT THE HELL?"

"You got knocked out," said Sarah. " we fell down a portal-type-thing in your closet-type-thing. We found a letter from-" she stopped and handed me the letter.

"Jennifer,

If you found this, you are in Devastia. I never told your mother about here, or John. The hole you fell down (you probably guessed) was a portal. If you go into one, you come out in another. i knew you were going to have band practice, (even though you suck!) and go into the closet to get something to eat. Devastia is a dangerous sure you

(1) Stay away from the city and people.

(2) Find the Portal gun (in the eastern forrest)

I know you will make it home. Not almost. WILL make it home. I dont want you to end up stuck down here like I was. I love you.

"So that's what happened," I whispered. I decided to get up. "First we head East."

We did that for 2 hours.

"Whats this?" TJ said, almost tripping on the object. He pulled up the lazer-gun and shot it. A portal came out

"OOOOOHHHH STOP! PORTAL TIME!" he said while shooting another portal. He played with the gun for 5 minutes.

"Keep it. Put it in Devin's Book bag." I said.

The last thing I remember seeing was the tall, thin body and that crazy,yet familiar simle. (And the cat again!)

So wadda ya think? Wrote this in 25 minutes. More shall be on the way! I decided this is a good place to end a chapter.
