So this is a prequel to the story I'm currently working on. It's based on a daughter of Percy Jackson and Annabeth Chase who was thrust into the world of wizards, destined to bridge the gap between the two worlds. But that's easier said then done, esepecially when she has to deal with not only monsters, but rough wizards and scheming gods. It's probably going to be going through the seven books like the Harry Potter series and focus on both the Percy Jackson and Harry Potter series. Of course, along with Ariadne, there will be the children of all of the seven present in the story. I hope you guys like it!
Prequel
The gods didn't mess around with affair of mortals. It was a rule put in place for the safety of everyone, but not a rule that most of the gods followed. It had been broken once before to mend a riff between two worlds, and it needed to be broken for the same reason once again. They tended to break their own rules often, something that was evident in the newborn child currently napping in her mother's arms.
The goddess shifted in her clothes, trying to get comfortable in her temporary mortal body. It was a nuisance, something she had to deal with in order to reach something better. The gods were idiots, all of them, but she was going to make things right, once and for all.
She pushed her way through New York Metro hospital and right into the maternity ward, causing mortal eyes to glean off her as if she wasn't there.
The goddess tapped lightly on the wooden door, pushing it open and poking her head in to the room of a sleeping woman, clutching an equally asleep baby.
"I'm sorry, ma'am," the goddess said, btiting out the words. The sleeping woman jerked awake, looking around for a few seconds before her eyes landed on the goddess.
"Oh hello. I'm sorry, it's been a long night, as you could expect," the woman said lightly, a glint in her eyes, like the thirteen hours of labor had nothing on the joys of seeing the sleeping child in her arms. It made the goddess want to smite the woman where she layed.
But instead, she plastered on the same smile she had seen the mortal nurses at this hospital use many times as she said, "She's beautiful. If you don't mind, we just have to run one more test on her."
"Another test?" the woman said it lightly, but a tight crease had appeared on her brow. "Haven't you already run them all?"
"It's just a hearing test ma'am, nothing too much. We just need her for about five minutes." The goddess held out her arms to accept the bundle of blankets.
"Annabeth?" came a voice from the doorway. A dark haired man walked in, a cup of coffee clutched in his hand. "What's going on?"
"It's just another test, sir, don't worry. You're daughter will be back in no time." A fake smile was still plastered on the goddess' face.
"It's alright, Perc, she'll be back," the woman said, placing a comforting hand on her husband's arms. The man seemed to relax, his face becoming softer.
"I know she will." The man leaned down to the bundle and gave a soft kiss onto the baby's forehead. "See you in a bit," he whispered, before letting the woman pass the baby to the goddess.
"I'll be back in five," the goddess said, taking the baby and turning around, making her way back out the door.
By the time the new couple realized what had happened, that their child wasn't coming back, the child was already fast asleep on her way to London.
