Why can`t we follow the butterflies?
AN: Hello! This is my first Harry Potter Fanfiction and one shot. Ever since I reread the Chamber of Secrets and re watched it, Ron's follow-the-butterflies line inspired me. So what has come from this inspiration you ask? A short one shot that is mostly for laughs and isn't serious at all XD I hope you enjoy it! And reviews and suggestions are welcomed!
Story
"Why couldn`t have been follow the butterflies?" said Ron.
Ron was marching alongside Harry with Fang by their side, they were following the spiders as Hagrid instructed. When suddenly Ron spotted a blue light in the distance, slowly approaching, Ron turned to Harry.
"Harry, what's that over there?"
As it got closer Ron realized what it was, it was a pack of little blue butterflies following a larger one. Ron froze but Harry didn`t, until he noticed Ron's stop.
"Ron? What are you staring at a bunch of butterflies for? The spiders are getting away!" said Harry in an urgent tone.
Ron was stuck in a daze so he couldn't answer, the butterflies were mesmerizing. Then, the biggest butterfly spoke.
"I am a plot device, here to aid you on your journey. You may call me Sapphire, I am queen of the butterflies."
"And?" said Harry, quite rudely. "How are you supposed to help us? You are only a butterfly."
"I am here to warn you, following this pack of spiders will lead you to certain death." Sapphire said frostily.
"Yeah, like I haven't heard that one before. It's just spiders not man eating beasts, and besides we need to know." Said Harry rudely again. "Come on Ron, let's go."
"Okay Harry." Ron said sheepishly.
####Later####
"Follow the spiders? If Hagrid ever gets out of Azkaban, I'll kill him." Ron said hotly.
The blue butterfly group fluttered a few meters behind them, they went unnoticed by the out of breath second years.
"I told you so." It muttered, "I best be returning to Wonderland then."
And with that the butterfly left it's companions and headed back for Wonderland, where it soon be meeting a very strange girl...
