The Southern Air Temple
The Gaang had just landed at the Temple.
Appa let out a loud grunt. "There you go Appa, now you can rest!" Aang said cheerfully to the Skybyson as he airbended himself out of his saddle and patted his furry body. "I can't wait to explore, what about you Katara?" Aang asked. Katara was stood by the edge of the temple staring at the view in awe. "Its beautiful Aang." Katara replied as she took in the slow, fresh breeze and the tall rock face in front of her. She thought to herself "Why would the Fire Nation attack a place like this." Her face saddend. She couldn't understand. Then again Katara was a kind human not an evil monster like the Fire Nation leaders. Zuko's face came to mind when she thought the word monster. He had chased the group all over the world for coutless months trying to capture the Avatar, almost succeeding a few times. "Katara?" She came out of her deep thoughts to find Sokka shaking his hand infront of her. "Wha-what?" She shook her head quickly. "I told you Haru wants you? Jeez Katara, you must have been thinking deeply not to hear me, were you thinking of food, I sure was!" Sokka added laughing at his own joke. Katara nodded and went to Haru. He wanted to look around the Temple with her but she declined, Herself and the rest of the team had to run through the plan to defeat the Fire Lord.
Later that afternoon
Aang, Toph, Sokka, Suki and Katara were just finishing up with their 'Plan of action' when they were disturbed. "Hey Zuko here!" A deep voice said softly. Realising who the person what Katara bent some water out of her bottle, Aang made a huge air ball ready to attack, Toph held two rocks ready to knock him out and Sokka being who he was began charging straight away. "Ahhhh!" Sokka screamed as he ran towards the Fire prince. Zuko quickly dodged Sokka and began to explain himself. "Wait, please don't attack. I have changed. And..." Zuko couldn't remember his speach he had practiced with a turtleduck earlier. "And... Umm, I, I have changed, I want to play my part in ending this war. I would like to join your group and help you defeat my fa..the Fire Lord, oh and I can teach Aang firebending." Zuko hoped that the group wouldnt attack him. Unfortunatly for him Katara wasnt taking any of it. "No way. How can we trust you. Of all people." She slapped Zuko with a water whip and readied her stance again. Zuko fell to the ground. The rest of the team stood in shock from Zuko wanting to be good and that he didn't counter attack Katara after the whip. "Fine." Zuko said angrily. He realised his tone and calmed it. Kneeling on his knees he raised his hands above his head. "Fine, if you won't take me as a member, take me as a prisoner." Katara's eyes filled with rage. What was he up to? She stepped back and spoke sturnly. "No! Leave now and you better wish we don't cross paths again.
