Elena layed on her bed, pulling at the strands of her long brunette hair. Boredom took over Elena, as she layed there listening to the loud thunderclaps that hit every few minutes, but aside from that everything was silent. Elena could hear faint music coming from Jeremy's room, and a television on downstairs. The silence made Elena's thoughts come out, which were loud. Different thoughts crossed Elena's mind, like; Klaus and his eager determantion to drain Elena's blood to break the curse of the sun and the moon, Bonnie dating her younger brother, Katherine eager to ''help'', and in the midst of it all Elena has so many people that are willing to help-die for her. Good people that were willing to give thier lives for her. Elena didn't understand. After all the times she had purposely beaten Caroline in popularity, beauty, everything, she still planned on helping, and all the times that Elena had gotten more attention, more stuff than Jeremy, he still wants to help her. It was ridicolous. But the most important thought screamed at Elena, causing her to listen; The choice between Damon and Stefan. It should be simple, one girl, two boys, just pick one! But it's not, it may seem as if Stefan was the only one, but the truth is Damon was still a part of her. She had two choices, Stefan; the overly protective, but sensative brother. Damon; the blunt, yet arrogant vampire. But they would both die for her, and Elena can tell that they love her alot. But could Stefan really protect her...alone? If Elena and Stefan got married, they would move away, it's not like they could just take Damon with them. Would it really always be the Stefan and Elena story, plus Damon? Elena had to admit that life would be easier with Damon. He could protect her easily, he wouldn't be always concerned everytime she walked out the door, and he would always tell her the truth, no matter how painful. But it wasn't about protection or how hard life would be, either way she was dating a vampire, it wasn't exactly a picnic in the park. It was about love, true, undenying, unconditional love. And Elena had that with both. Would she ever make the decision?
