A/N: If you haven't seen the newest episode of mlb yet (Oblivio) then I wouldn't recommend reading this because it contain MAJOR SPOILERS. Anyway, this is what we all wanted to happen but we were robbed. Okay carry on.
Something Great
When Ladybug pulled away from Cat Noir, she looked down at the tea pot in her hands and anxiety pooled in her stomach. She didn't want to forget everything that had happened today. She wanted to remember, but she knew the Miraculous Ladybug cure would erase everything from her memory. So, with a heavy sigh and a heavy heart, she threw the tea pot up into the air.
"Miraculous Ladybug!" She shouted, and swarms of ladybugs began to fly around and repair everything. Ladybug clung to Cat Noir's hands and rested her head on his shoulder, both heroes shut their eyes tightly as the ladybugs swarmed around them, knowing what was coming. However, when they reopened their eyes and looked at each other, they both realized something.
They remembered.
"Do you...?" Cat Noir trailed off.
"Remember everything?" Ladybug finished for him, and he nodded. "Yeah. I remember everything."
"You're Marinette." He said, smiling, and she nodded.
"And you're Adrien." She said.
"You okay with that?" He asked, his insecurities starting to get the better of him. Ladybug just smiled as she went up on her tip toes to place another kiss on his lips.
"Does that answer your question, chaton?" She asked, smiling widely. He nodded and a huge smile spread across his face, then he wrapped his arms around her waist and twirled her around in the air. She squealed in surprise, and let out a laugh when he finally set her feet back down on the ground.
"Uh, Ladybug, Cat Noir?" Alya called their names as she and Nino walked up to them. The two heroes were brought back to reality as turned their gaze to their friends, hoping they hadn't heard anything.
"Guys, you haven't seen a super villain named Oblivio, have you?" Cat Noir asked them, playing it off like he had lost his memory.
"You defeated it already, dude." Nino told them, looking nervous.
"Actually, it was us." Alya told them, motioning to her and Nino.
"Oh. Okay." The two heroes said, and then looked to each other. "Pound it?"
They brought their fists together and smiled at each other. "Pound it."
Both of their Miraculouses began to flash and beep, warning them of their limited time before they changed back. So, they bid farewell to their friends and took off to find a safe place to drop their transformations. They ended up going into a supply closet and looked around to make sure nobody was around before casually leaving as Marinette and Adrien to go find the rest of their class.
"Look, there they are!" Someone called out as they were seen coming outside. Miss. Bustier turned and let out a sigh of relief at seeing the last two of the class coming out safe and sound. How Alya and Nino managed to beat them outside, they had no idea, but didn't question it. They all got onto the bus to make their way back to school after listening to Alya and Nino explain how they had gotten akumatized in the first place. Marinette felt a little bad for them seeing as they only wanted to spend a little time together, but did have to agree with Miss. Bustier when she said that sneaking off to play a game during a field trip wasn't the best decision on their part.
But she'd never tell Alya that.
"I haven't played the game yet, but it looks fun." Adrien said as Nino sat down next to him on the bus.
"All you need it to find the right parter." Alya said. "Right Marinette?"
Marinette couldn't stop the blush that spread onto her face and Alya giggled lightly at her.
"Something tells me I've already found him." She said, smiling across the aisle at Adrien, who gave her a knowing look and smiled back. Alya looked at her in confusion and raised an eyebrow at her. Silently asking what she meant, but Marinette waved her off. Telling her it was nothing. Alya looked like she didn't believe her, but accepted her answer for the time being. Marinette was glad she had dropped the subject for now, because she did not want to be interrogated by her best friend right now.
Alya went off on a rant to Marinette about how she had gotten a picture of Ladybug and Cat Noir kissing and had witnessed it with her own eyes, and Marinette couldn't help but smile as she thought back to the kiss. It had been everything she had ever expected a first kiss to be like. It was perfect. As Alya continued to ramble on, Marinette pulled her phone out and shot Adrien a text.
Hey, Alya's telling me that she got a picture of us kissing on the roof. Looks like we need to be more careful.
A few minutes later, her phone vibrated in her hand as Adrien texted her back.
Nino was just telling me the same thing. I completely forgot that they were there.
Marinette smiled down at her phone as she typed a reply.
So did I. But then again, forgetting was Oblivio's specialty remember?
"Who are you texting?" Alya asked her best friend when she realized she wasn't listening to her and was instead smiling down at her phone.
"Adrien." Marinette replied nonchalantly as he replied to her message.
Right. Guess I forgot that, too ;)
Marinette giggled and Alya's confusion from before came back.
"Why? He's right across the aisle." She asked and Marinette shrugged.
"It's easier." She explained. "We don't have to shout across the aisle and over you and Nino."
"Okay." Alya said, growing skeptical. "What are you two talking about?"
"Nothing much really." Marinette told her.
"Okay, how are you not completely freaking out over the fact that you and Adrien are having an actual conversation?" Alya asked her, and Marinette shrugged her shoulders.
"We were trapped together during the attack and I had to get over my stuttering to be able to talk to him and help him find a way out." She explained, and was thankful she was able to come up with excuses on the spot. She wouldn't be as good at leading her double life as she was if she wasn't able to.
They got back to the school just as the final bell rang, and everyone made their way off the bus to go inside and grab their backpacks before heading home. Alya told Marinette she and Nino would wait for her outside and walked off while Marinette grabbed her backpack from her locker. She closed it and when she turned to walk away, Adrien was standing there leaning against the locker next to hers. She jumped a little and brought her hand to her chest.
"You startled me." She said, smiling.
"My apologies, Princess." He said, giving her a Cat Noir smirk and bringing her hand up to his lips to place a gentle kiss on her knuckles. Marinette blushed, this was going to take some getting used to, but she couldn't be any happier than she was in that moment.
"I'll forgive you." She said, a smug smile on her face. "If you give me a proper kiss goodbye."
"What the lady wants, the lady gets." He said, and he pressed his lips to hers. Their eyes slid shut as metaphoric fireworks exploded all around them. Adrien's hands snaked around Marinette's waist and Marinette intertwined her fingers behind his neck as she sighed into the kiss.
"So, am I forgiven?" He asked when they pulled apart, and Marinette pretended to think it over for a moment before smiling and nodding.
"You're forgiven." She said, pecking his lips once more before stepping out of his arms and slinging her backpack over her shoulders. Adrien slung his arm over her shoulders and the couple left the locker room together, thankful that nobody was in the courtyard to see them and question the sudden closeness between them. When they made it to the big double doors of the front of the school, Adrien withdrew his arm from around Marinette and she found herself nearly whimpering at the loss of contact between them. They turned to face each other and he took her hands in his.
"Will I see you tonight for patrol, m'lady?" He asked, and she smiled.
"Yes." She answered. "I'll see you tonight, chaton."
With that, Adrien dropped her hands and opened the door for her. She thanked him and they exited the school walking down the stairs and up to Alya and Nino.
"Hey girl!" Alya said when they walked up to them. "Ready to get that research project done?"
"Yup." She answered. "I'm ready to get it done and out of the way so I don't have to worry about it anymore."
"Since Adrien fantastic when it comes to particle physics, he and I have got this project in the bag." Nino said."Right bro?"
"You know it, Nino." Adrien said, and the two fist bumped. Adrien's bodyguard pulled up in front of the school and the boys waved goodbye before walking away.
"See you toni-tomorrow, Marinette!" Adrien called as he waved.
"See you tomorrow!" She called back, and she and Alya began walking to her house.
"This is going to be so weird hearing you say actual words to him instead of turning into a stuttering mess." She said, and Marinette giggled.
"Well, it looks like something good came out of you and Nino getting akumatized today." Marinette said and Alya laughed.
"Yeah, I guess so." Alya said as they continued to walk. Marinette smiled to herself. It wasn't something good that had come out of today.
It was something great.
A/N: And there we have it folks! I'm sorry it's so short, I wanted to make it longer but I felt like it would get boring so I'm going to keep it like this. Short, simple, and sweet. Hope you liked it!
