Logan looked at the body laid next to him. To anybody else he would appear completely asleep; laid as if he'd just collapsed on the bed and fallen straight asleep. Logan looked at him; his head resting on his arms and turned to the side slightly, and knew he wasn't asleep. Logan knew him more than anyone else did and he could tell that Julian was far from asleep; merely closing his eyes and trying to forget the world.
Logan shifted onto his elbow so that he could run his fingers along Julian's back and saw a small smile form on Julian's face. He just stared at Julian for a while, as he trailed his fingers absentmindedly over Julian's skin, and tried to memorise every detail of Julian's face so that he would never leave his mind. He was still amazed that Julian loved him. Beautiful, amazing, passionate Julian loved him with all his flaws and insanities. Logan could never comprehend that.
"Why do you love me?" Logan asked quietly
Julian opened confused eyes to look at Logan "You know why I do" he smiled
Logan shook his head slowly
"Well then" Julian moved to lean on his elbow so that he could look at Logan properly "I love you because you are completely perfect"
Logan laughed quietly under his breath. Julian didn't fail to notice this, and he sat up fully to take Logan's face in his hands, so that Logan's eyes couldn't escape him. Logan closed his eyes so he didn't have to deal with the sympathy in Julian's eyes.
"Logan. Look at me" Julian said softly. Logan reluctantly opened his eyes and looked up into warm brown eyes "I love you because you're perfect to me" Julian kissed Logan softly "I love you because you constantly amaze me. I love you because you're an idiot"
Logan glared emptily at his boyfriend. Julian smirked in reply. "You're a loveable idiot though" he said as he moved a hand to caress Logan's face "I love the way you sing quietly when you're trying to concentrate on something. I love the way your eyes brighten up when you're excited about something. I love the way you get so wrapped up in your thoughts that you walk into things...what?" Julian smirked as Logan glowered at him "You do!" Logan continued to glare and Julian just laughed and kissed him "You're amazing, and talented, and beautiful, and completely insane. But that's why I love you. That enough reasons for you?" Julian smiled
"I suppose so"
"Well then. Shut up" Julian leaned forward to kiss Logan again, and wrapped an arm around his waist, pulling him closer to whisper in his ear.
"You do realise I expect a full presentation on why you love me in return, right?"
