Kushina's Last Moments
Author's Notes: This is a sequel to Minato's last moments enjoy.

Kushina was one of the many fallen Shinobe of her husband's village. There were several medical Ninja surrounding her. One had wrapped Naruto in a blanket and placed him beside his mother while they administered medical care.
"Lady Kushina where does it hurt?" One of them asked as they started to heal a flesh wound on her arm.
"There is no point in trying to heal me dear?" She spoke softly.
"I have absorbed too many attacks from the beast when it was fighting against the sealing jutsu. Please go and save those who can be saved." She then turned on her side and lifted her infant into her arms cradling him gently.
Suddenly she heard a panicked scream in the distance. "The hokage wants to see his son. Someone bring him his son."
She let a single small tear run down her face. She knew that her husband's next demand was going to be that he could see her. She whispered to the medic who had stayed by her side.
"Let them take Naruto to his father and make sure he knows that I have passed for saying final goodbyes will only enhance the pain." She stated ever so gently.
The medic was about to speak when Kushina silenced her with the sweetest smile.
"Please give me something to end the suffering quickly then take Naruto to his father." She hugged the infant tightly while the medic prepared a deadly dose of anaesthetic and other medicines combined.
"Are you sure you would like me to do this my Lady." The medic asked her while her voice was cracking.
"Yes I will die in a few hours anyway if you don't. The medics are too busy to save everyone. Let me be with Minato and tell Naruto I'm sorry and I love him." She closed her eyes as her heart rate dropped considerably lower. The medic injected the lethal dose of medicine while tears trickled down her cheek. A few short moments passed and Kushina stopped breathing and her body went limb. The medic was shaking uncontrollably as she was so full of sadness, still she lifted the infant and started walking to where several Shinobi were still making demands that the hokage wanted to see his son.
