A Moment of Brilliance

I crawled through the door and pulled it shut, resting on the white carpet, conveniently staining it red. Great, just something else to clean in the morning. I could hear the booming voice of the man responsible for my cuts and bruises downstairs. I continued to lay there in front of the door, not an inch of my body making a move besides my breathing.

A slow clap resounded around the room and I jerked backward into the door. I looked at the boy perched on my bed, clapping and nodding. "Bravo, Shank."

"Who are you? How did you get here?"

He tutted at me, as if I was a small child, before setting a makeshift knife down. "It's not polite to talk to people like that. You must've gotten it from your father."

"I am NOT my father!" I coughed, blood splashing on the carpet. The boy walked over to me and threw one of my arms over his shoulder. I groaned as he picked me up and started to carry me away from the door. "What are you doing?"

"I'm going to help you," he replied. He sat me down on my bed and sat down next to me. "That is, if you would let me."

"Who are you? I can't trust someone if I don't know they're name."

"Minho. My name's Minho."

"Minho? Like from Maze Runner?" He tossed said book onto my lap and I flinched.

"Wow, look at you, being all smart and stuff."

My breathing caught in my throat and I gripped the sheets. He looked at me intently with a raised eyebrow.

"So."

I coughed, spitting blood on the bed sheets. "So, what?"

"You want me to help you?"

I chuckled, before grimacing in pain. "And how are you going to do that?"

In a moment of brilliance, I was pushed off of the bed.

A/N: Okay, I know that some of you that know me are probably upset with me for not updating my Chronicle story but it's only because I didn't have wifi and I lost the movie. So, now that I have wifi and and I found the movie, everything shall resume.

On another note: I would like to make a series of fanfics that all relate to each other from different movies and/or other categories so look out for that. Thank you for being patient with me!
