Greger never lived anywhere besides his home planet of Dawn. It was a pretty little planet with exotic flora and fauna. Orange and green covered the landscape with a scattering of gray where the colonists settled. Most people were content to stay on Dawn, far enough from earth that they didn't have to worry about the alliance and their rules. Greger however wanted to see the stars. He wanted to see the great Citadel, or the wonders of Illium. Hell Greger would even be happy to visit Earth.
Greger was sitting on the curb near his home. This was a normal activity for him and his buddy Charlie. Today however was anything but normal. For one Charlie was nowhere in sight. The biggest difference however were they many Turians walking the streets. Greger did not know much about the new policy. What he did know is that this group of Turians had seceded from the Hierarchy. The Alliance would never agree to even seeing these outcasts and yet the colonists of Dawn didn't give a fuck about the Alliance.
"Yo Greger nice new pals we got here huh?" came Charlie's higher pitched voice. before Greger could turn around he felt Charlie's arm wrap over his shoulder.
"Dude these Turians are bad-ass!"
"Where have you been Charlie? Still looking for some hot ladies?"
"At a time like this? Dude did you hear me, we have fucking Turians walking in our mist. The girls can wait."
They walked into Town Square. A nice enough gathering place with plenty of room for the whole colony. The leader of the colony, a man named Jeff Manor was scheduled to make an announcement today and Greger could only assume it had to do with the outcast Turians running all about the colony.
"Welcome all! If we could get your attention," The intercom blared. On the platform in front of everyone stood Jeff and a Turian. Jeff was holding the mic as he waited for everyone to become quite.
"I am pleased to Announce that we have formed and alliance with the Turian Union. I assure you all that this will be a profitable experience for everyone involved. The future is looking bright for the small colony of Dawn."
