Title: Waiting Sucks

Pairing: Germany X North Italy

Note to people: warning may contain occness. This is my first time writing these characters sorry for butchering them. I don't own any thing in this fic except the idea.

" I have to go."

"I don't want you to go." Tears flowing down his face freely as he spoke to his boyfriend and best friend.

" I don't have a choice Feli. If I had a choice I wouldn't go." He comforted him as best he could. It's not that the older didn't already know that it's just that he didn't want to hear it from the younger man in front of him.

" I know."

" I'll be back as soon as I can."

" Promise?" He looked up into Ludwig's blue eyes hoping that he would see the blonde was lying to him.

" I promise."

" Yay." He said trying to be happy even though he was on the edge of breaking down sobbing and clinging to Ludwig so he wouldn't leave him here while he went off to fight during the war.

" No more tears now okay? I need you to be strong for me while I'm gone you can't do that if you cry." He wiped away the tears from the Italians face with his gloved hand and kissed his cheek.

"… Okay."

" I know you're sad but I'll be back before you know it." He picked up his bag and rifle and went to the door to leave.

" Feliciano…" He didn't turn back to look at the shorter man but he could tell that he had his attention.

" I want you to know something before I go and I don't want you to forget okay?"

"Ve… Okay what is it Doitsu?" The brunette chirped a smile now dawning on his face.

" That no matter what happens to me during this war I love you and that will never change." He smiled a little at his boyfriend's nickname for him and he truly wish that you put down the gun go over to the Italian man and stay there with him. He knew that this was impossible but it was nice to wish for something. This brought out of his thoughts when Feliciano hugged him with new tears in his eyes and said:

" I love you to Doitsu. Come home soon okay?"

" I will." He hugged him back and opened the door.

" Will you wait for me?" He waited for a response from him but one didn't come. Looking at Feliciano he realized that he was shocked by what he had said so walked out the door closing behind him. It took a minute or two for the brunette to realize what just happened when the German man had said that to him. A smile came to his face and he ran to catches his boyfriend only to find that he was already out of sight. He walked inside a little defeated that he couldn't find him and knew that it be hard to wait for him to come home.
