Arm-wrestling
_

As Patricia walked down the stairs, she was shocked to see a line of Anubis residents, streaming from the door to the dining room. It almost seemed as though it was revolving. She must have seen Jerome work his way up five times! She caught Mara on her way around and asked her what was going on.

" Eddie beat Jerome at arm-wrestling! Everyone's trying to beat him."

This was pretty big, Jerome was the House of Anubis arm-wrestle champion for three years running. If Eddie beat him, Jerome must be PISSED. She walked around the line and watched Eddie go; Nina-seven seconds, Fabian-five, Jerome-one minute, Mara, Alfie, Joy, Nina, Fabian, Jerome, again, and again and again. Eddie trash talking the entire time:

"Oh what now! no one beats the Eddie! Is that all you can do?"

Patricia decided it was time to intervene. She walked up to the table where Eddie was sitting and sat down right across from him.

"My turn."

Patricia felt tingles as he grabbed her hand and stared into her eyes without blinking. But, Patricia was undeterred. She stared right back, Joy grinned and called out:

"Ready, setty, go!"

Patricia locked her wrist, and in about three seconds, had banged his hand against the tabletop. Jerome's mouth dropped open.

"Well, I was going easy on you because your a girl" said Eddie

"You were?"

"I demand a Rematch!"

"Fine."

It took Patricia about two seconds to beat Eddie again, and again, and again. After every round, Eddie would make an excuse and say,

"Rematch!"

It was a Sunday, and neither of them had any plans, so they pretty much went at it all day, along with the arm-wrestling, was the never-ending insult war.

" I don't know the meaning of the word "defeat"

"You don't know the meaning of many other words either"

"I don't mind you talking so much, as long as you don't mind me not listening." he retorted
"Oh good morning. I was just taking a nap" Patricia snapped

"Don't feel bad - a lot of people have no talent, and you're most of them!"

"Please, keep talking. I always yawn when I am interested."
"There are several people in this world that I find unbearably obnoxious, and you are all of them." He grinned
"Your accent is mine."

Eddie's eyes popped out of his head, as in the heat of the a new rematch, he looked at the clock on the wall. He saw Victor get ready to give his ten o'clock speech, he looked at Patricia with a steely glint in his eyes. He told her that they would do one more match today and then they could continue in the morning.

Patricia laughed, "Will it make you feel better if I let you win?"

"No!"

Patricia laughed again, and had a mischievous twinkle in her eyes as she grabbed his hand again, and he called the usual 1,2,3 go, after a couple of seconds she leaned in a bit, she was letting him think he was winning, and he knew that, but he was to busy staring at her bright green eyes to care. She leaned in further, and locked their eyes together. His eyes widened, and she smiled, and then she leaned in even closer and kissed him. Right after that she slammed his hand against the table while he was still recovering from his shock.

"I win." She said. Then she got up and walked away "good night"

The next day was a monday, and she was walking to french class when Eddie pulled her into a corner, and said,

"Rematch?"
