Prequel: From Grey to Garnet
Yuriko. That woman is beyond a mystery to me. Every new thing I learn about her seems so unreal. Her enigmatic nature… it intrigues me. It draws me toward her.
Each time there is a case involving Nebula I beg to be part of it, hoping that I'll catch a glimpse of her. Sure, she's tricked me before, and almost to the point of fatality, but I am still mesmerized, by her courage, her past, her fighting capabilities, her beauty.
She may be Mariko's twin sister, but they are as different as the sun and the moon. Yuriko is the darkness, the unknown, locked deep within herself. Her hair is often down in a long dark braid as opposed to her sister's two buns. Her auburn eyes are much harsher than Mariko's, hiding a sense of sadness and bitterness. Despite her hard nature, I know she is capable of love and desire. She cares for her sister, refusing to kill her even when ordered to.
I wonder if she'll stop running one day. Hiding. Being alone.
What is she hiding? I know she may be out of my reach, but I'll continue to chase after her, hoping she'll stop for a breath and notice me.
