My blood ran cold as I glance at the Athena table.
Why is he near her again? Why is she not telling him to leave?
Annabeth continued to laugh as Peter, a new kid from Apollo cabin, leaned over her and grinned. That should be me over there. Me making her laugh.
I sighed in defeat and slouched further down in my chair. If only I manned up yesterday and told her how I felt when she came to me after dinner, holding a blue cake.
How beautiful I thought she was. How much I love her...
I growled and slammed my fist on the table and shot up from spot at Posideon's table. I can't watch this any longer. I just can't.
Ignoring the stares from my fellow campers I paced down to the only place that would calm me. The beach.
When I got there I forcefully slammed my body onto the sand.
I brought my knees up to my chest and placed my head on top of them. I traced the horizon with my gaze and huffed slightly.
' Percy?'
I spun round and had to restrain myself from lunging. Peter stood before me with a worried glance on his tanned face. His cropped brown hair fell over his brown eyes giving him a mysterious look.
'What?' I practically spat at him, causing him to flinch slightly.
'I um, just wanted to see if you were ok. I saw you leave and you seemed upset so I...'
Furrowing my eyebrows I stood up I front of him ' I'm fine. Why don't you hurry back to Annabeth. I bet she's missing your company.' I could help the bitterness that leaked into my voice.
' Annabeth? Doubt it highly, she was on about how she was gonna find you after breakfast, to see if you wanted to train with her. What's this got to do with Annabeth anyway?'
I rolled my eyes and looked at him sourly ' Nothing. I don't even care if you two are a couple or whatever. You can...'
Realisation struck his face and he practically screamed ' NO! What the hell man? Are you freaking jealous of me spending time with my sister? Annabeth...'
My eyes widened and shock pooled into them. ' your moms Athena? I thought you were an apollos kid!'
Peter shook his head furiously.
'Oh. Well.' I stuttered.
He and I continued to stand infront of each other awkwardly pulling at our clothes and glancing around until he smirked at me.
' hang on. You like my sister?'
I choked on my breath and redness crept onto my cheeks ' NO! I mean. Yeah. No? I don't...'
'ANNABETH!' Peter wailed before turning and sprinting back to the area.
I practically tripped over my own feet trying to catch up with him
'DONT YOU DARE! Come HERE!'
